Jackie Collins *is* Lethal!, November 13, 2000

Say what you want about Jackie's writing abilities: her musical taste is surprisingly brilliant! Despite Jackie's lamentable--and sadly self-serving--decision to "Jackie-rap" on the Lethal Seduction/Dangers Kiss Suite selection, this album is otherwise chock-full of winners. How can you go wrong with Eartha Kitt growling "Where is My Man" (or Tina Turner, giving us a pre- and post-Ike comparison)? A touch of soul, a slice of pop-chic, and a big dollop of kitsch--this album is well worth the price (and, for the purely aesthetic, the shimmering 3-D cover is a nice touch). Insert sound of applause here.
