I purchased this double dvd because i really wanted to see the Sally Hemings story but felt the Women of Camelot would be interesting to see as well. Niether movie dissappointed. First, it was intrigueing to finally see the story behing Sally Hemings and Thomas Jefferson. Based on the movie, he really loved and adored her and she him but it was taboo for that relationship to be public. Despite the age difference, Sally was strong willed and unafraid to be who she was. She defied her and his family, friends, and anyone who wanted to stand in the way of their relationship. The acting from all was superb, especially the lead characters including Dianne Carroll. The movie was touching and felt it was well worth seeing. In regards to The Women of Camelot, another great movie. Seeing this, made me appreciate and understand what the Kennedy women endured. The acting was excellent. I loved how all three women were so different in personalities but strong in their own way. Ethel, was flamboyant and loved being the center of attention. She was somewhat of a matriarch and expressed her opinions on everything but meant well. Jackie, just the opposite of Ethel was less flamboyant, more subdued, but still no pushover. She was silent at appropriate times, but stood her ground when she was displeased, especially with the kennedy family. Joan, was more timid and not as self assured, but she showed her strength by being able to support and step up when she had to rise to whatever occasion. Despite her struggles, she found her way and showed her strength towards the end. Each movie plays on its own dvd but its packaged very conviently. For all those that enjoy history as i do, both movies are highly recommended!!

it really tells alot about these three women especially after two of the three women lost their husbands in assinations.

Because I am mad about Mad Men, I wanted to see an inside look at the Kennedy clan from the same era. I enjoyed the movie and was relieved that they didn't overdo JFK's assassination. Well done.

I loved this movie. Finally a movie about the Kennedy women instead of the men. The men were great, but these women had to be strong to deal with such greatness.

I watched the movie back then. When then Senator Obama began his divine quest for the Presidency; there was so much talk about him being just like President Kennedy and Senator Bobby Kennedy, I searched for this particular movie to buy. It's one of the greatest mini-series I have watched in my life. Lauren Holly as Ethel Kennedy was award winning. This woman is one amazing actress. She had the strength and courage of Mrs. Ethel Kennedy down to a science. Of course all the actors and actresses were incredible but Ms. Holly made me love Ethel Kennedy even more.

i have owned this dvd for a few yrs and lately have had a discussion about how the three kennedy women are depicted as heroins but have little to be concerned about. i found no heroism in putting up with lies deceit, and affairs other than a fat paycheck should anything happen to one of the Kennedy bros?
However, the heroin i supported was Ms Sally Heming, who was property of a US Pres and a woman with whom a US Pres clandestinely raped and with who he produced many children.
The strengh with which this young girl(in the beginning) handled the rapes and assaults by a president has to be heralded, and goes beyond proving what so many great black families have had to bear.
I am a now a retired atty, from Wash, DC and have met and been befriended by the relatives of Sally Heming, and know for a fact more than this movie will tell.
