Jackie Tempo and the Emperor's Seal is an amazing story with rich visuals and adventure, characters that you can relate to, and a great window into history!

As part of my 11-year old daughter's summer reading assignment, I gave her a number of books, telling her to pick one so that she could read 30 minutes per day. She picked this one, interested in the time-traveling aspect of it. The first day, she read the required 30 minutes. Today, she didn't put it down until she finished, spending more than an hour longer than her "required" reading timer. My daughter loves books like the Magic Thief, the Lightening Thief, the Darkside series and other fictional books, set in realistic or accurate environments. This book fit the bill perfectly, allowing her to follow an interesting story-line while still learning about an environment, based in facts. She and I are anxiously awaiting the arrival of the second book!

Very good from the view of a history teacher as well as an 11 year old :) Looking forward to more Jackie Tempo books.

I can't put this book down! It is captivating and educational...love it! Highly recommend it.
