A lucious quintet with a great song list,

In this terrific CD, all five players play up to their always high expectations. J. J. Johnson's tone makes you almost forget that he plays trombone and makes you think that he plays trumpet. Only he can make such a fluid tone on such a rough instrument. Milt Jackson on vibes gives a nice light tone which is only overshadowed by his marvelous solos. Ray Brown, the quintessential bassist, plays well on the CD. His playing gives a strong beat for the entire CD. All in all, this CD is a definite must buy for a true jazz fan!
