5.0 out of 5 stars Jacob Young- Self-title CD
I orginally just wanted to buy Jacob's Single Life is good because I didn't think his CD was going to be all that good but to my surprise the single was so good I decided to buy the entire CD. 2.0 out of 5 stars What is this?
I thought that this album was rediculous, I didn't think that it was even serious when I began listening to it. It has somewhat of an island feel to it, which was completely unexpected. I think that it is poorly put together and not at all what I thought it would be.

I'm glad I did. His entire CD is awesome. He has such different styles of music in the album. Some pop songs, rock songs and a few love songs that are just beautiful. He has such a incredible voice which has surprised me. I didn't know he was so musically talented. I definitely recommend this CD for anyone who loves good music and songwriting. This is one CD you can pop into your CD player and keep hearing.

5.0 out of 5 stars What a great CD!, November 7, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Jacob Young (Audio CD)
I bought the CD the week of it's release and it hasn't come out of my discman, I kid you not. I am a fan of Jacob's from General Hospital, and couldn't wait for the CD to be released after listening to samples on jacobyoung.org.

He has a great voice, and on this CD, his range is unbelievable. The songs are a great mix, and I can honestly say I love them all. This CD is fun and happy. The songs are infectious, they can't help but stay in your head.

Check it out! It's so worth it!

4.0 out of 5 stars Interesting...., January 24, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Jacob Young (Audio CD)
I got this CD as a gift recently, and I must say - it is interesting. Many of the songs are very cool. There is some very strange sampling going on in a couple of songs, but is isn't that bad... just different. I like "8 Hour Love Story" and "Sleep Tonight" a lot. Not sure how I feel about "She Made Me Love You More." I just don't like the message behind it at all. But I know, it is a light song, not advocating cheating on your significant other at all. I hope...

Anyhow, he does have quite a nice voice, and the songs are catchy. If you are a fan, it is something you must definately have. If you, like me, enjoy him on GH, but wouldn't classify yourself as a fan per se, check out the sound samples and see if it is your style. Rocky, a little Pop-py, but only a little, and with a touch of his own very unique style in there. Worth a listen. Probably more.

5.0 out of 5 stars A young guy who rocks, October 2, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Jacob Young (Audio CD)
I first bought the CD because I am a big fan of singer/songwriters Lowen & Navarro and I knew that they were part of the writing team for this new artist. The songs are great (as all Lowen & Navarro songs are) but what really surpised me was Young's talent. It is refreshing to hear a young singer actually sing. He reminded me of John Mellancamp--very rocky with just a touch of folk. If you like Mellancamp, you'll like him; and if you like them, check out Lowen & Navarro.

I was lucky enough to get an advanced copy of this CD so I've had it for over 2 months now and I have to say that I was VERY surprised as to how good it is. I love General Hospital and I never really like Jacob Young until I got this CD. He really surprised me as to how good his voice is. Every single song on this album is really good. I would definitely suggest this to anyone even if you don't watch General Hospital. He's definitely going to become a huge star after everyone hears this album and his first single Life is Good.

Listening to the CD now, and it's beyond anything I thought it could be. Has a hint of John Mayer and Gavin Degraw. Jacob is not only a talented actor, he blows the superstition out of the water that actors can't be singers and vice-versa. I would reccomend it to anyone.

4.0 out of 5 stars Who knew?, January 17, 2005
This review is from: Jacob Young (Audio CD)
I watch All My Children, and Jacob sang his song Sleep Tonight on an episode, that they taped live from Disney's Super Soap Weekend, I was there live when he performed it, and I realized that he wasnt bad. So when I bought the cd, I expected good things, and low and behold, its pretty good.

The first song off the CD became my roommate and I's theme song for the summer a few years ago. Go on and listen to the rest of the CD and it's good but not quite as strong as the first song. I didn't know that this talented actor even sang until I happened to catch him on Regis and Kelly one morning. He had me hooked from there.

5.0 out of 5 stars Jacob's CD is Great!, November 8, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Jacob Young (Audio CD)
I recently bought Jacob's CD and Let me tell you, this CD is great! Everytime I listen to his songs, you hear something different. The CD is well balanced with all sorts of tunes. This CD is not like ones you buy that you only listen to 2 of the songs. Every song on this CD is great. Way to go Jacob Young!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great CD, September 18, 2001
This review is from: Jacob Young (Audio CD)
This is a great CD, even if you don't know who he is. Also, the co-writers / back-up vocals were done by Eric Lowen and Dan Navarro. If you don't know who they are, and like this CD, buy all their albums. You will not be disappointed by this, or any of their CD's.
