Paul van Nevel has once again pleased with release of CD on Harmonia Mundi. With transition to this label The Huelgas Ensemble's sound became even more perfect from the point of view of execution of a stuff and quality of record. First of all it concerns the records of Richafort and de Rore. It is a pity only, that in booklets it is not mentioned neither a place of carrying out of records, nor their producers/engineers.
Concerning Jacobus de Kerle's works it would be a must to note, that this stuff of one of last masters of the Low Countries' Late Renaissance is really worthy to be revivaled from nonexistence, and not only in extracts. For those who has become interested in a similar stuff, I recommend very much also three CDs of Jacobus Vaet which have been recorded down recently by The Dufay Ensemle and released on Ars Misici label.

This could have been a DISC OF THE YEAR. Why not? Here we've got the opportunity to discover an absurdly neglected GREAT composer. Moreover, the recording itself is an impressive achievement, technically and artistically. Not enough stars!!!

Éste podría haber sido un DISCO DEL AÑO. ¿Por qué no? He aquí la oportunidad de descubrir a un GRAN compositor, absurdamente ignorado hasta ahora. Además, esta grabación constituye un logro impresionante, tanto en lo técnico como en lo artístico. ¡¡¡Me faltan estrellas!!!
