Bring back the psychedelic '60s with this groovy tie-dye kit. Find a T-shirt or some old jeans and embellish them with bold splashes and feathery, rainbow swirls of color. This kit includes premeasured fuchsia, yellow, and turquoise dyes in three no-mess applicator bottles, rubber gloves, a bag of soda ash (a dye fixer), a handful of rubber bands for tying, and illustrated comic-book-style instructions that include descriptions of four tie-dye pattern techniques. All you'll need is warm water to mix with the dye, some fabric or clothing, and a bucket or a sink containing 2 gallons of water. The garment must soak in the soda ash for 20 minutes before you apply the dye. After you're done, set the garment aside for 24 hours before rinsing, washing, and drying it. --Kathryn Gustafson

THIS KIT WAS AWESOME!! I have used many tie dye kits but this kit was by far the best! The colors are gorgeous and stay vibrant even after many washings. Its messy but any tie dye kit is... thats half the fun!
I recommend getting a few pairs of gloves because its impossible to wash the gloves off and put them back on. You will need more pairs. I will definitely buy this kit again.

I love this tie dye kit. The dyes are great quality. The colors are actually the true primaries: cyan, magenta, and yellow. This allows for the best mixing results. I bought this kit many, many years ago, and they used to give you larger quantities of dye--actually three little glass jars of powder. Now they just pour a little powder in the bottom of each squirt bottle. Still, if it's your first time dying anything on your own, this kit is perfect.

I am a fairly experienced tie dyer (I have my own small tie dye business and have sold several items made with this kit) and I must say that I LOVE this kit. It's made in the USA, easy to use, and the colors are bright and vibrant even after several washings. I especially love how the instructions are fully illustrated. I highly recommend this kit.
