Perfect color saturation,

I love this black dye... Its very easy to use and it dyes fabric evenly... It leaves a richer, darker shade of black than my fabrics original black color... I recommend buying more than one bottle

I just dyed a batch of white cotton socks. You might notice that the product title says "forest green" but the picture shows a product labeled "tourquoise". When I first added the dye to the salt-water, it did look dark green. But somehow it, and my socks, shortly turned blue, and by the end of the process, the water itself was clearly blue much more than green. I would rate the color of my socks as being much closer to a weak-moderate tourquoise/teal than any kind of dark green (which is what I expected forest green to be). I admit that I am pretty new to dyeing fabrics, and may have messed up the sequence of steps (my soda ash package described a totally different sequence from the dye itself), but I would expect that such mistakes would result in weaker color, not shifted color. I did include a few pairs of yellow socks (white socks I had dyed yellow with RIT powder in a hot-stove sequence weeks ago but not yet worn) once I realized my new white ones were going blue instead of green, and those have indeed gone a nice rich green color.

I purchased this product to dye some deer horn to match onyx beads. I didn't know if it would work. I was very happy with the outcome. The horn took the dye better than I would have expected. Once it dried, it was completely stable and did not rub off. Great product especially for dying horn, camel bone most any natural product.

I purchased several different colors of Jacquard Procion Dye. All were beautiful! They were used to dye silk scarves and the color saturation was perfect. Great product!!

Purchased this product for our annual tie dye party - and was very pleased with outcome. The company was GREAT - very helpful. Fast shipping and the dye was better than any found in the arts and crafts store. The colors were bright and stayed after many many washings so far. Very happy.

per the other reviews, I took the advice and ordered 2 dye bottles for 1 pair of pants (about 2 lbs of clothing) and that was a good move. In 3 gallons of cold water I mixed 2 cups of regular salt and about 1/3 cup of the soda ash dye and as soon as I added the trousers I knew I made the right choice. I had purchased 2 packs of RIT and tried the machine dye and all that did is make a mess in my machine and splotch dye my trousers. Instead, This process was immediate and the trousers died evenly. Those saying it makes a mess are right so I put trash bags all over the kitchen floor and even with 2 sets of gloves on, I still have dye all over my hands but the cleanup is easy (except for the hands - oh well!) and well worth it for a pair of perfectly colored trousers that I was ready to throw out!

This review is from: Jacquard Procion MX Fiber Reactive Dye 2/3 oz. jar rust orange (Toy)
This great dyes main selling-point for me initially, was that it is used in COLD water, which allowed me to dye an entire denim set in the wash-basin in my basement, since I didn't need to boil a DOZEN and a half pots of water, and hurredly carry them down into the basement washroom(before they began to cool)to obtain a level deep enough to submerge denim outfit in,as well as HOT enough for the dye to"take to"my denim,or STUFF/CRAM my poor outfit down tight into some stove-top pot or such!! This dye really completed the"job"I'd began of turning a bright/"friendly"-orange denim set into a more"reserved"/"serious"-looking rust-orange,MUCH more suitable for trasversing the tough streets of Detroit in!! With 2/3rds of an ounce of dye, instead of the usual 1/2 ounce amount customarily offered,I was able to achieve that"DEEP"rust hue, which I'd long desired in a denim jean and jacket set!! An INCREDIBLE product without a doubt!! :O
