Good Dvorak Concerto by du Pre, May 9, 2008

The Dvorak Cello Concerto from 1969 with du Pre and Groves is very enjoyable. Jacqueline du Pre plays with a bit more reserve here than in her recording with Celibidache in 1967 (a good thing in my opinion). The sound quality is only so-so in the Dvorak Concerto but quite poor in the Ibert with distortion in loud passages.
