A fascinating autobiography of courage and triumph., February 8, 2010
This review is from: Jacuzzi: A Father's Invention to Ease a Son's Pain (Paperback)
This is a fascinating story of a family that contributed so much to the world. Anyone who has ever had pain relief, therapy, relaxation, or just plain fun in a Jacuzzi whirlpool bath, will be interested in this story of a boy whose father invented the whirlpool bath out of his care and love for his son, who contracted juvenile rheumatoid arthritis at the age of two years. It is a story of the amazing accomplishments of the author, who speaks four languages, and is a champion for disabled people all over the world.
You will laugh and cry and be touched by this autobiography, with its family history of a poor immigrant Italian family whose creativity and brillance impacted the life of everyone, not only through the whirlpool baths, but for efficient irrigation systems currently used in agriculture throughout the world, and other inventions used to make life better for the world.
It is charming read and a testament to the triumph of Ken Jacuzzi, living life to the fullest that he is able.
