Jaded (Album Version) (4/5) - Although this is not the best song from Aerosmith's current album "Just Push Play" (check out "Beyond Beautiful" & "Luv Lies") it's a good one to start with, since it's very radio-friendly and you can listen to it time and time again.

3.0 out of 5 stars aeropop
With a Diane Warren-penned #1 not too long ago, Aerosmith started to venture into the pop-rock arena. Not that they have lost their usual touch or sound, Jaded is decidedly more pop and this gives it great exposure all round. It's a decent radio hit, a little tame by Aerosmith standards but fairly easy on the ears. Well the veterans of rock sure know how to stay on and...

4.0 out of 5 stars If you like the single, you'll love the album, June 14, 2001
This review is from: Jaded / Angel's Eye / Under My Skin (Audio CD)
Jaded (Album Version) (4/5) - Although this is not the best song from Aerosmith's current album "Just Push Play" (check out "Beyond Beautiful" & "Luv Lies") it's a good one to start with, since it's very radio-friendly and you can listen to it time and time again.

Jaded (Accoustic Mix) (2/5) - This is quite a dull version of "Jaded". I mean Aerosmith are a rock 'n' roll band. And its the electric guitars that prevent the song from growing boring.

Angel's Eye (5/5) - This great song is also featured on the "Charlie's Angels" soundtrack. You won't find it on any Aerosmith album, so it's a good reason to gt this single. Despite its roughness it's still catchy and it's one of my favorite Aerosmith songs recently. Great guitar work by Perry & Whitford!

Jaded (Guitars Mix) (4/5) - Sounds quite similar to the album version.

Under My Skin (4/5) - Also featured on their album "Just Push Play". It took some time to grow on me, but in the end I really liked it. Catchy chorus.

(Btw: Recently, I saw the German version of this single, which contains "Won't Let You Down" (an album bonus track, I think) and "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing" instead of the Accoustic Mix of "Jaded" and "Under My Skin")

4.0 out of 5 stars Great song to listen to time after time..., April 13, 2001

Unlike many of the critics here, if you compare old aerosmith to the new aerosmith then you'll absolutely hate this single. And sadly that's the way most people see it. Yes, Aerosmith have changed and that's only because they're trying new stuff. They first started with a bluesy sound to a Jazzy, then to a Hard Rockin' style. So what if they move to pop for a little while? It's not even a very pop style single. It may get more airplay on MTV and radio because of that but hey...it's still rock...and it's still Aerosmith! All bands change...they're experimenting and are worn out playing hard rock. So quit whining already.

Let it touch you on the inside. This is truly a great song. It's got a very sweet chorus and short solo. It shares a lot of asian and hip hop sounds together making it unique to many rock songs. It's something different to expierience. It could have a little more touch to it but that's alright. It's kinda overproduced.

The Just Push Play album that contains this single is great too. Might be better buying that instead of this. You won't be disappointed.

This single gets a 4 cuz it could have a little extra. It could easily get a 5 if this album wasn't overproduced with the unusual sounds and stuff in it.

4.0 out of 5 stars IT WAS ONE OF AEROSMITH'S BEST SONGS IN A LONG TIME, August 13, 2004
This review is from: Jaded / Angel's Eye / Under My Skin (Audio CD)
WELL, I THOUGHT AEROSMITH WAS DONE MAKING GOOD SINGLES. BUT, THEY SUPRISED ME ON THIS ONE. WHILE I DOUBT SERIOUSLY IF I EVER WILL BUY ''JUST PUSH PLAY'', THIS SONG WAS VERY GOOD AND IT ROCKED. STEVEN TYLER STILL IS ONE OF THE GREATEST VOCALISTS IN THE ROCK INDUSTRY TODAY.

4.0 out of 5 stars Classic Rock And Roll, May 4, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Jaded / Angel's Eye / Under My Skin (Audio CD)
This is a great song. If ever there was an Aerosmith song, this is it. It has a classic rock and roll sound and catch to it. It ticks me off that the negative reviews for this song are about as stupid and clueless as you can get. Pop?. Not rocking enough?. Sugar coated?. No, no, and no. Wrong. All wrong. Do these witless ninnys know anything?. Obviously not.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Song!!, January 8, 2010

This is truly a great song, and the video is one of the best I have seen. I think it is on YouTube. Who came up with that look for the "serving women" in the video? The tears at the end made the video perfect.

This is a good cd. Not only do you get a few versions of the song "Jaded", you also get the excellent rocker Angel's Eye from the Charlie's Angels soundtrack which is why I bought it.

This is a great return to form for the "greatest American Rock & Roll Band". This song is already their biggest self-written hit since "Cryin'" in 1993 (it should make Top Ten). But the chart stats aren't what's important here - it's the music. "Jaded" has a compulsive melody and a real positive vibe throughout (what else would you expect from this band?). We get two additional mixes of "Jaded", the untitled ending from their great new CD JUST PUSH PLAY (it's hit #2 on Billboard - pick it up!) "Under My Skin" and as a bonus you get the recent Charlie's Angels hit movie song "Angel's Eye". So if you don't want to get the soundtrack all you have to do is get this CD single. It's a steal for the quality of music you'll be getting. The song may be called "Jaded", but Aerosmith are anything but! Buy it now!

4.0 out of 5 stars Aerosmith is back again, and keeps getting better., March 13, 2001

I've been a die hard Aerosmith fan since 1994 and this song I loved before I even knew it was by Aerosmith, though it wouldn't have surprised me at all. My friend(another die hard fan) and I have come to the conclusion that even if you aren't a rock fan, this song will make you want to hear more of Aerosmith.

1.0 out of 5 stars Why my lord?, April 10, 2001
This review is from: Jaded / Angel's Eye / Under My Skin (Audio CD)
This song could've been accepted as one of their older songs from the 1970's. Then I would've liked it because it would be acceptable little pop song that got you calm before the big heavy song comes next.

But no.

Sadly, Aerosmith has fallen. The song has no solo! Ok, about one half-of-a-second, 3 note solo. Whatver happened to those long bluesy solos which showed you how mean Joe Perry was? HAH?

Sadly, even the riffs, which was the important part of the band, are so stupid it makes me want to puke. I hope they come out with another album like Nine Lives was. Enjoy.
