About the Author

Anya Bast lives in the country with her Belgian husband, their tornado toddler of a daughter, and more cats, dogs, and rabbits than is sane. Ever since she was a little girl, Anya has told stories (much to her mother's dismay). She's happy to finally be making a career out of it.

A native of one of the colder states, she loves to ice skate and watch hockey. She has fascination for crows, ravens and birds of prey. She enjoys the study of Eastern philosophy, Celtic myth, dreaming, and shamanism and occasionally incorporates what she learns into her paranormal stories. She works part time as a data base editor and French translator.

More About the Author

Anya Bast is the author of numerous works of romantic fiction, mostly all paranormal and mostly all scorching hot. She lives in the country with her husband, daughter, eight cats, a dog, and an odd assortment of rescued animals.

Somewhat reclusive by nature, she can be drawn out with a good bottle of red wine, classic movies, or good music. When she's not writing, she can be found trying to grow organic vegetables, shopping in thrift stores for that perfect piece of clothing, or dreaming about travel to some faraway country.

She is the New York Times bestselling author of the Elemental Witches and Dark Magick series, and is now working on a new series. The Brotherhood of the Damned will feature immortal Viking warriors, demons, witches and more.

Honestly I wouldn't bother with this one. I have read and am a fan of most of Anya Bast's work but I have to say that this was probably the worst.

In this book (linked to jeweled) Bast's main character hire's his old acquaintance who works in a brothel to seduce his best friend. When he gets her to his house he becomes jealous when she actually succeeds and it takes the length of the book for them to acknowledge that they have loved each other all the time. Meanwhile the friend also falls in love with her and the become the typical anya bast menage a tois. What a surprise.

Save your pennies and borrow it from someone else if you are a die hard fan otherwise i'd suggest you give this one a miss.

Powerful Magick Alek Chaikoveii is depressed so his friend Byron Andropov hopes to get him out of his funk. He asks Lilya Orensdaughter who has entered the Temple of Dreams to help. She agrees as she feels she owes Byron who saved her life following a vicious assault when she was eighteen by a madman.

Alek has wanted Lilya since he healed her from her injuries, but delayed showing his feelings. As he opens his heart to her, she feels fickle between loving Alek and Byron though her best friend Evangeline has two husbands (see Jeweled); while her personal predator who injured her stalks her as in his mind Lilya belongs to him, dead or alive.

The second Court of Edaeii ménage a trois erotic fantasy romance is an engaging heated but dark thriller that has a medieval and modern day (outdoor café in the downtown drinking coffee) Eastern Europe feel to the plot. The lead trio has suffered traumas, but love heals all wounds in their respective cases; while the obsessed villain acts maniacal in his belief that Lilya belongs to him. Jaded is an exciting character driven tale as readers anticipate a showdown over who controls Lilya.

I enjoyed this series thoroughly. One of long lost love, grief and given love a second chance. It's never too late to love again.
