The beginning of the TV series "JAG",
This review is from: Jag / Premiere Episode [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This video is the pilot episode of the TV series of the same name starring David James Elliot. The first case he must try takes place on aircraft carrier. Harm(the name of the JAG lawyer) is sent with his partner to find out if a member of the miltary (a woman moving up the ranks) was drowned, murdered or committed sucide. To make matters worse there is a problem with some European country and Harm must go fly into combat to save the people and keep the USA safe. The pilot also co-star Kevin Dunn(Stir of Echoes,Godzilla,Almost Heros,Dave) as a JAG officer in Washington D.C. The video is about 1 1/2 hours. The only thing I missed watching the video was the titles I'm used to seeing on the reruns on USA network and CBS!!Other than a must for fans of the TV series!please put more of the series on Video !although I prefer DVD over VHS any day!please who ever owns this series bring the rest of the series out on DVD/VHS!!You've have many fans thankful for awesome show about our country's miltary forces and the trials they face in and out of the courtroom!if anyone knows of any e-petions to put this show on DVD/VHS please e-mail me!!

Fabulous show. Amazes me the number of stupid TV series that are being pumped out in droves yet an intelligent, witty, entertaining, upstanding show like this has yet to be considered for DVD release. What are these studios thinking???

JAG Season 1 coming to DVD this June!,
This review is from: Jag / Premiere Episode [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Get excited JAG fans, Season 1 has been confirmed by Paramount Home Entertainment as due for release on June 20th, 2006. Harmon Rabb is about to make the trap on DVD.
Season 1 ran on NBC and had the usual slightly rocky beginnings. It was cancelled by NBC and CBS picked it up and ran for another 9 seasons. The original partner to Harm was Lt. Kate Pike, but there was never a real romantic tension and Kate was phased out rather quickly. Harm was later joined by Lt j.g Meg Austin (Tracey Needham), whose blond good looks and soft drawl matched her well as Harm's main partner for Seasons 1. Also Commander Alison Krenick(Andrea Thompson) was added to the JAG staff. Tough as nails but silkily seductive, Krenick added a third possibility to the will they or won't they relationship between Harm and Meg. Several future characters appear in Season 1 including Bud Roberts, Jr and Capt Boone, the CAG, and Annie Pendry. Ollie North has a guest cameo. The set will be for 21 episode set including the two part pilot, with extras and a Bellisario commentary. There is some debate over whether Skeleton Crew, with the infamous first appearance of Catherine Bell as Harm's old girlfriend in a cameo, would be included in the set since it never aired officially in Season 1 due to NBC's cancellation.(though it did air overseas and on USA) It was this episode that was incorporated as a flashback when Catherine Bell first appeared in Season 2 as Mac MacKenzie. Season 1 sets up the greatness of Season 2, which formally pairs Mac and Harm under Admiral Chegwidden, brings in Bud and Harriet, and everyone's favorite CIA agent Clayton Webb, and becomes the JAG we all love so much. JAG is on the catapult for a June launch. Time to get excited!!!!

JAG is the bomb,

I am a huge JAG fan and I wish that CBS would put all of the other seasons on video. I am somewhat disappointed that only one video was put out for JAG viewers. In my case that I am not fortunate enough to catch every episode, I would love to one day be able to buy the complete series and catch up on lost episodes. This is still a great video to watch if you love watching fine men in uniform and seeing how JAG officers perform their duties.

This is a great episode about navy lawyers and the show itself,What I and many fans around the world cannot understand is, why there is no video or dvd collections for us to buy. There are a lot of bad shows that have made it on dvd and video . It's about time something was done , I would sell my car to obtain all the series of JAG on dvd or tape ,especially now that it is in it's 8 season .signed JAG fan from Australia

THE BEST SHOW ON TELEVISION,
By Joseph G Hanussak (JERSEY CITY, NEW JERSEY) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Jag / Premiere Episode [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I HAVE TAPED ALMOST ALL OF THE EPISODES SINCE MEMORIAL DAY OF 2002. I MISSED THE LAST EPSIODE "A TANGLED WEBB". THIS ONE COUNTED DUE TO THE ENDING OF THE SEASON. I WOULD CERTAINLY LIKE THE IDEA OF ALL THE SHOWS ON DVDS. I SEE THAT I AM WITH THE REST OF THE REVIEWERS IN WANTING THIS. JAG IS THE BEST SHOW ON TV AND BETWEEN CBS AND USA NETWORK THERE ARE NO OTHER CHANNELS ON TV.SEE IF WE CAN BUY JAG ON DVDS SOON, EVEN ON vhs FORMAT WOULD BE OK. I CAN ONLY RATE JAG AS ONE OF THE BEST SHOWS ON TVBY THE WAY, I AM 72 AND RETIRED. I WATCH DAY & EVENINGS.

Coming from Germany I only can underline what the foregoing reviewers wrote - I only want to add this: you can really be proud of theese tough Navy-Laywers, excellent actors, thrilling action and great stages. Just a little jealous of this success in the U.S. - because JAG in Europe isn't as successful as in USA (I can't understand). Hope that some day much more JAG-episodes will be available on video...

So, What is the Scoop?,
By Semper Fi Mac "Mac" (Washington, DC) - See all my reviews

All this talk about JAG becoming available for release on DVD, has it happened yet? My 87 year old father loves this program, but can only see re-runs on ocassion as they air only sporadically in his area. He was in the Navy during World War II and this program is important to him. Please advise when this serires becomes available on DVD for regular Americans.
Thanks, Charlie USMC

By Wondering in Indiana (Indiana) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Jag / Premiere Episode [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I have been a fan since the pilot episode. I enjoy the well thought out plots and find Harm and co-stars to be delightful to watch. I was very disappointed when Meg was replaced with Mac, but it hasn't stopped me from watching every episode.
Can someone please tell me when the series will be released on DVD???? wondering in Indiana |
