Jagged Edge best one yet,

After releasing such great songs like Got To Be, Let's Get Married , Promises.. Jagged Edge release their third and best CD of their career thus far in my opinion.. Jagged Edge shows a lot of growth on this CD and also they have more control on this CD then they did on their previous two.. On this one they get to showcase more of their writing and producing talent mainly the twins Brian and Brandon who wrote all the lyrics of course JD still does the majority of producing on the CD.. The Cd also have a more hip hop oriented feel to it then their first two that is no more evident then on the banging first single Where The Party At (Featuring Nelly), In my opinion the best of all the fast tracks on the CD the Ludcris/ J.E Collabo Cut Somethin.. Ludacris rips his versus on this song turn in one of the best performances on the CD.. I Got It ( Featuring Trina) is a very tight song as well.. Once again though the best moments of the CD is when J.E slow the pace down ..In my opinion the two best slow songs on the CD are two songs that deals with comittment to family and your love one on the tracks " Respect" and Head Of This Household.. Other note worthy tracks on the CD " Goodbye"," Girl It's Over"," Remedy", "Best Man" This is really an fanastic CD that should provide hours of listening pleasure..

***It truly is a Jagged Little Thrill***,

Jagged Edge has done it once again with their new album "Jagged Little Thrill" This album is nothing compared to their last. In my opinion "Jagged Little Thrill" is 10 times better "J.E. Heartbreak" and this one, once again is sure to go at least platinum...at least. What seperates this album from thier last is the type of style Jagged Edge presented. "J.E. Heartbreak" was a little boring. Don't get me wrong, it was still a great R&B album, its just that all the songs were the same. You know the slow, romantic type. On this one they change their formula a little. Of course it still has its slow jams, but they added some up-tempo partying songs. Their first single "Where The Party At" is a perfect example. After listening to the whole album "Where The Party At" is definitely the best track. The chours is very catchy. I especially love Nelly's verse. This song has amazing lyrics along with a hot beat.(It's like a remake to E.I.) The collaborations on this album is also another major improvement. Nelly, Ludacris and Trina do a fantastic job helping the album. All the songs are definitely good in their own way, but my favorites are:TRACK #2-Where The Party At feat. Nelly(best song) TRACK #4-Cut Somethin' feat. Ludacris(great beat) TRACK #6-Can We be Tight TRACK #7 Got It feat Trina(great beat, Trina flows nicely) TRACK #9-Without You TRACK #11-This Goes Out feat. Big Duke and Joe Glak TRACK #12-Respect TRACK #13-Head Of Household(da bomb...hope this or track #7 is their next single) This is a great R&B album. All the Collaborations are amazing. I can't see why anyone can dislike this cd. If you liked their last 2 albums there's no doubt you'll love this. Jagged Edge seems to improve every new release, so I can't wait for their next album. SO SO DEF is definitely on top.

This album is excellent!,

After having the new CD in my rack for like a month-and-a-half, last week I decided to listen to it for the first time. I really just wanted to hear JE's latest song, "Goodbye". I then listened to the rest of the album and I was absolutely blown away by how good this CD is. My emotions were stirred by lovely ballads such as "Girl, It's Over", Can We Be Tight", "Without You", "Respect", "Head Of The Household", and of course, "Goodbye". With this CD, Jagged Edge has taken their talents to another level; far beyond their 4-man R&B rivals. Their up-tempo/dance tracks are hot as well - Songs like "Where The Party At", "Cut Something", and "I Got It" shows their versality while maintaining their authenticity. Ever since I first listened to "JAGGED LITTLE THRILL", the CD has not been removed from my CD player. I listen to it repeatedly every chance I get (even at work). I must say that this album has made my week. I love it so much that it's made me fanatical about this group.

This is the first jaged edge album I actually bought. I always was feeling their stuff but never got around to getting anything form them until now. I didnt expect too much but after the first listen I was surprised. There are some tight cuts here(also my favorite tracks) like: Cut Something(w/ludacris), I got it(w/trina), Goodbye, Where the party at(w/nelly), respect, can we be tight and remedy. The tightest slow jam on this album has to be "Remedy". I see a hit written all over this song. This is anotehr good addition to the hip-hop,R+B world that might surprise some. fans should be more than satisfied while non-fans might be taken over. The only thing I dint liek is that a few songs sounded like some of thier previous hits but overall them came strong with a mix of old and new flavor. Dont miss on this jagged little thrill....get it.

The best that Jagged Edge has to offer.......?,

Most fans like r&b music for different reasons. Some people like a nice uptempo song that you can dance to. Others like songs that are midtempo: not too fast or not too slow and some such as myself like a nice slow jam. When I first heard "Gotta Be" by Jagged Edge that's when I realized that they were working with a little something. "A Jagged Era" was a good start for Jagged Edge but I knew that they would just get better with time. They definitely made a step in the right direction with "J.E. Heartbreak". "He Can't Love You", "True Man", "Promise" and "What Ya Tryin' To Do" were definitely songs to remember from that CD. Even the "I Need Love" influenced, "Promise (Remix)" got my attention. Jagged Edge is slowly trying to make their mark as one of the best male groups in r&b. With their third CD, "Jagged Little Thrill", Jagged Edge seems like their out to do the same thing as they accomplished on their last CD. They always start off with the party jams. "Where's The Party At" w/Nelly and "I Got It" w/Trina are perfect examples of this. However with, "Cut Somethin'" Ludacris cuts the track to shreds with his two verses on the song. This is definitely the best uptempo song on this CD. Jagged Edge also has the slow songs going on their new CD as well. "Respect" and "Head Of Household" will definitely be favorites of Jagged Edge fans. They have always been known for good slow jam presentation on their CDs. "Girl It's Over", "Goodbye" and "Best Man" are good slow jams as well. Although this is Jagged Edge's best CD, in my opinion, some people will not like the fact that this CD sounds just like "J.E. Heartbreak". However, they have impressed me once again with this effort. It is still a must buy in my opinion.

shocked by bad reviews,

I have loved this cd since the day it came out. when the group was promoting HARD (also excellent) they had mentioned something about jagged little thrill not being as successful as JE heartbreak, so out of curiosity i got on here to see reviews, first of all, why are there constant comparisons to 112? if you really think about it, they are not that much alike thier styles are different, if you want 112 then buy 112 dont buy jagged edge and expect it to be 112. second, why would anyone buy this cd and then be disappointed because it was layed back? It just totally amazes me that so many people rated this cd poorly and then to see they werent looking to buy an r&b cd but a rap cd because nelly and ludacris were on it. a rapper can appear on a cd, but if it is an r&b cd chances are the majority of the cd is R&B. Jagged edge is an R&B group, and in my opinion the best around, so if youre looking for good r&b buy this cd but if youre looking for rap, then buy nelly or ludacris, do not buy jagged edge and expect them to be someone else, and then decide to give them a low review when you already knew it wasnt your type of music. All four jagged edge cds deserve 5 stars and i recommend them for all R&B fans.

If you would be "hard-pressed to name a single member of Jagged Edge" or "couldn't pick one out of a line-up" whilst claiming to know the first thing about popular music, that would make you an idiot of such imbecilic proportions I would find it a wonder you could spell your own name.
This is the group that answered the age-old question that every 90's RnB fan had for the best part of the decade: if you mixed the smooth sensitivity of Boyz II Men with the overt sexuality of Jodeci, what would you get? Well here is your answer. Them Jagged boys solidified their position at the top of the heirarchical pyramid with this album. "A Jagged Era", many I'm sure will agree, wasn't the answer we'd hoped for to the above question; and in all honesty, had I heard it first I think it would've have been a harder task for me to recognise their greatness. No - it was J.E. Heartbreak that kicked open the door. "Jagged Little Thrill" just proved they were here to stay, and Hallelujah for it. I won't say it's my favourite of their albums, because it's not. I REALLY hate that 'Promise' remix (forget how; WHY would you mess with perfection?); and whilst I appreciate the sentiment behind 'Head Of This Household', I'm a bit too much of a feminist for things of that nature, even if my lovely Brian is crooning it. But with melters like 'Can We Be Tight', 'Remedy' & 'Best Man' who can be mad at them? Not me honey, I'll tell you that...

After 2+ years, this album is still timeless... I will go out on a limb and say that JE Heartbreak was the ABSOLUTE best effort from them (as far as slow jams), and I will also say that you have to take time and creativity to produce an album that will ever top their sophomore CD. But don't sleep on Jagged Edge, they have Brandon and Brian writing, and as long as that's in the formula, they'll be in this industry...
