The Jaguar Crossbow was a pleasant surprise. The trigger pull on my crossbow is excellent. The accuracy was so good that as I adjusted the 3 dot sight firing bolt after bolt, I watched the bolt holes march right into the bulls eye. I am not a hunter, just someone who enjoys shooting targets. For some one like me this is an excellent value. Unless you are extremely strong I would also like to recommend some form of cocking aid as this is one powerful bow.

This crossbow is great for the price. One of the little limb tips shattered while trying to string the bow, but I made a new one (probably my fault). I have been able to get a 2 inch group at 30yds standing with the red dot sight. Remember to wax the barrel and string. Overall a good buy! Get a cocking aid as the pull is difficult when practicing.

I got a Jaguar 175# crossbow for Christmas from my grandkids and their parents.
I went into this with low expectations after reading the reviews....
After shooting about 100 shots, I really enjoyed myself.
I figure those who I have read reviews that weren't happy, must have made mistakes.
The instructions were vaigue so I went online for some education 1st.
If you string the bow correctly, and use the bow wax you should be fairly happy.
! thing that is a definate deficiency is the lines on the bow for mounting to the stock.
I had to measure each side several times and get it just right.

One last piece of advise.
Be sure to use a target made for a crossbow, mine is a kevlar bag target and that is necessary for safety sakes. The bolts go right thru a bale of straw, so BE CAREFUL!!!

This bow is DEFINATLY not A TOY!!! It may be entry level but it is a lot of fun!

ENJOY!

I cant say enough. This is a great buy. Killed a nice 8 pt on the ground at 25 yrds. Used rage broadheads. The arrows are junk, but I am very very pleased. Anyone who says anything bad about this bow has never shot one!!

when stringing bow the plastic part on the end of string that connects to the bow shattered. tried to get part at several archery stores unsuccessfully. contacted seller and got them either for free or at a minimal cost. i have used the bow for 3 seasons and i am very satisfied.

I bought this for my sons to hunt with until they can pull enough poundage with a compound bow. As some of the other reviews state, the limb becoming loose is an issue. I also use 22" inch carbon bolts. We tried several lengths but these have been the most consistent. It definitely does not shoot 245 f.p.s. as advertised but is sufficiently fast out to 25 yards. I mounted a TrueGlo crossbow scope and zeroed the top line at 20 yards (instead of the suggested 25). The bottom line is on at 35 yards but, given the slow speed, you're likely to end up with a bad hit on a deer that jumps the string. If you're looking to take medium to large hogs or shoot deer further than 25 yards, I would suggest spending more for a crossbow that will shoot 350 f.p.s. or more.

The price was great but I had a problem with accuracy. Plus every now and then an arrow would waist take off in its own. I finally figured out there was space between the limb and the frame even with the spacers properly installed. No matter how much I tightened the bolt the limbs could still move. I finally loosened the bolt and tightly wedged a piece of wood in the space under the limb between the limb and frame. Then I tightened the bolt back up. Now the limbs do not move and the crossbow shoots much better. The manufacturer should know this and either make limbs that fit tight or include a spacer of some kind. For that reason I only give it three stars.

I can see why they are on sale and they are cleaning out the warehouse in the UK, it is a peice of junk. Mine did not come with a manual, and I have tried everything to sight it in with no success..I can see why it sells at a cheap price I guess you get what you pay for. I have looked for a manual but can not find one.
The sight that came with it goes with the crossbow, sometime's it works and most of the time it does not, have changed battery but get the same results..I sure would not recomend this to anyone.

Thanks
