I love it! However North Carolina just passed a law that none of the license plate can be obstructed by a plate frame. The plate frame covers the words "North Carolina" at the bottom of the plate so I can't use mine anymore
:(

I've never framed my licence plates, so I have no basis for comparison. But this product is as solid and shiny as it was the day I received it. I wish I had 5 Jaguars so that I could purchase more. (Of course, if i had 5 Jaguars, I could afford to have someone else write this review). Excellent product!

After two years, the frame developed significant pot marks (I live in a climate that has a lot of salt on the roads during winter - might explain.). Also, check with your local police or inspection station. I was forced to remove it because it covered up certain sections of the plate. It is very pretty though and, at this price, you can afford to replace it every couple of years.

Mine is on a '04 XJ8. Looks great but obscures a part of the number. I also dislike the way the top-only fastening leaves the base a bit proud of the body.. I'll look for an alternative

The problem is that there is no slots for the lower part of your licence plate to slide into, therefore when you tighten the top fasteners it sticks out from the plate. If you loosen it up then it rattles. It looks good, but I am looking for another.

This was great. I went to the official Jaguar website and plates like these started at at least twice the price. It was nice and heavy and looks great and classy on the car. I love them, I bought 2!

Beautiful product! Very strong and substantive. As others have said, a lower bolt opening would make it a bit more secure on our cars. But that doesn't really detract from the plate frame. The jaguar is gorgeous!

Excellent license plate holder looks very high-end on vehicle. I received compliments immediately! The Jaguar/bottom of plate does not sit plush with the vehicle. Could greatly benefit from an added screw or bolt hole to make the holder more secure. It still looks great and sits flat, it is just a bit wobbly when you go to shut your Jaguar trunk. Not a big deal considering the added sleek look your jag will have! It made a huge difference dressing up the rear of my vehicle. It is lightweight, only ways a few ounces. The cat emblem is large, looks incredible!

These were so cheap, but look so smart on my Jaguar XJ8.

I just went for my inspection today though and found out the Commonwealth of Socialism..ahem...I mean the Commonwealth of MA will not let you have these plates to pass inspection as they slightly and when I say SLIGHTLY (I mean it) cover a small corner of the reg sticker and the the left side of the plate...barely. It is just barely legal, but enough for them to nix it.
It so stinks as I love the leaping cat to match my hood ornament.
Boo to the Commonwealth for cramping my style! You can still read my plate clearly and the reg sticker, but it is barred. Poop!

This is a quality product. It's heavy and well made. And it looks great on my Jag XJ8, I've even gotten a lot of comments on it.
