I purchased this product thinking it was a normal size shaving brush. Imagine my surprise when I discovered that it is almost 6 inches long. It is a nice looking brush with soft plush bristles and the wooden handle has a laquered finish unlike many other wooden shaving brushes. If it were about half the size it would be a brush I would use til I wore it out. Unfortunately it is too big for my needs and I will probably use it for a small neck brush to apply my after shower talc. For those desiring a larger shaving brush this would make a great brush.

This is a very large brush, but i was truly surprized by its usefulness for face lathering. its soft bristles have great backbone. It lacks a little at holding water but is better that others i have tried.

Like the other reviewers, I too found the brush huge. Unlike them, I think it is a very useful product. The finish on the handle looks hand painted and a bit crude. Who cares? The knot has broken in faster than other boar bristle brushes I have used. It holds water a bit better than other boar bristle brushes I've used (although not as well as badger-but it costs a small fraction of what badger brushes cost). It applies lather well. It doesn't shed bristles. There is not much to criticize, unless, like the other reviewers, it is too large for your taste. In my opinion, this brush and Arko shaving sticks are two of the best wet shaving bargains going.

Nothing wrong with the brush as far as construction, Great Bristles, Nice Handle but...this thing is huge!
The flex is not much different than the mid size brush, but the Bristle End is just too large for my taste.
Actually, I cannot get the bristle end into my scuttle for soaking, so I am using this brush in an open shaving
cup. Very nice Bristle Brush if you like them huge! As stated by previous reviewer, might make
a good neck brush for applying talc, or removing hair trimmings after a hair cut.
