Mountain | Disc Brake Pads. RedZone? Disc Brake Pads. Jagwire?s proprietary semi-metallic compound offers long lasting and consistent performance. Offering excellent modulation there?s still plenty of power when it?s needed. A thin layer of Jagwire?s proprietary RedZone? HeatSheild? creates a heat barrier between the compound and the backing plate resulting in a higher threshold for heat-induced brake fade. Where necessary replacement springs are included. The RedZone? Alloy Series disc brake pads use high-grade aluminum backing plates that drastically reduce weight. These pads are recommended for XC-type racing bikes only. *Alloy disc brake pads are not recommended for All-Mountain or Down Hill bicycles.
