The rest of this review is from my previous Ripcord review:
The housings are high quality, and I had more than enough length for my bike (I had a good 14" of extra housing after installation was completed). One thing I did notice was that a standard SRAM 4mm ferrule would barely fit on the ends. Jagwire does supply ferrules with the kit, as well as rubber boots for the front and rear, rubber donuts for open-cable runs, and a length of thin black hose sleeve if you choose to cover the exposed cable runs on your bike.
Shifting felt the same - if not smoother than my stock cables. of course, the icing on the cake was the fact that I had a custom cable setup that made my bike stand out from the rest. The price is a little higher than standard cables, but you pay for the customization of having different colored cables as opposed to stock black. Overall a good, quality product that any person can easily install - just be sure to have a proper (sharp!) cable housing cutter!
I highly suggest you have a cable cutter on hand for the job, if not, get one or you aren't going to have a good time installing these.
Enjoy the smooth, slippery shifting, better than almost all OEM.
They look great on my black surly ogre build.

These seem kind of overpriced but they DO work really well and they come with a big assortment of caps and covers and whatnot. Read morePublished 6 months ago by Brandon
I needed to replace my cable and hoses, so I wanted to try these cool looking sets. They fit and perform really well and now I need to do my other cycles with them.Published on July 29, 2013 by C
