This song is spectacular! It is exciting, fast paced, and makes you dance no matter where you are when you hear it! I absolutely believe this song deserved the Academy Award! You should download it and discover how amazing it truly is!!! :)

Mostly sung in Hindi, "Jai Ho" is a fine piece of world music, and a fine example of Indian music, making up the certainly unique film, "Slumdog Millionaire." At first, I was hesitant about the song, but soon embraced it as it really broadens your musical horizons. And even though you can't understand it, you get the feeling of the song, and it's all topped off with the song's crowning chorus. The verses seem a bit dull in comparison, but there's certainly a lot that's going on in this 5-minutes.

Is it the best original song for a movie? Given the choices, even mixed with Springsteen, I'd give an emphatic yes. In a world where borders are slowly becoming a thing of the past, music is what brings us together, and this song is good taste from India, and certainly good to broaden your musical horizons with.

This was such an uplifting and fun song to end this movie. Dance, dance, dance!

First off, this original is so much better than the one with the Pussycat Dolls mixed in. Second, this song is so fun and uplifting! It's a great song to put at the end for sure. A feel-good song! :)

"Jai Ho!" is the triumphant ending song of Oscar-winning Slumdog Millionaire. AR Rahman has long enjoyed success as a Bollywood composer in his native India,and now he's getting crossover appeal. He's gone from having a loyal following in India to receiving critical acclaim in America. It's unexpected success for him,just like the hero Jamal in "Slumdog Millionaire." His Lord of the Rings musical collaboration has some fans among the Tolkien geeks,but "Slumdog Millionaire" appeals to everyone.

"Jai Ho!" is a joyful,toe tapping song. There's drumming,there's qawwali singing (in the style of the late Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan) It's perfect for the closing scene of the movie when everyone dances. It's fairy tale music for a modern fairy tale in contemporary,gritty,urban Mumbai/Bombay. "Jai Ho!" is a spicy,savory treat for the ears.

When you hear this track almost makes you feel you have heard this before. Its just the most wonderful original creation as are A R Rahman's other tracks.

A decent, fast-paced song. It's not my favorite that I've ever heard, but it's catchy and likable. I never actually saw Slumdog Millionaire, so I can't speak as to how it fit into the movie.
