5.0 out of 5 stars #1 OF RELATED CHARACTERS, November 23, 2001

(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Jake'S Child (Silhouette Romance) (Paperback)
THIS IS A KEEPER OF AN EXCELLENT AUTHOR [Plus] -- Beg, Borrow and read this group of books.
[from the back - which doesn't tell it all ] *********IN THE STILL OF THE NIGHT......Sarah Simpson awoke to someone pounding on the door of her isolated Everglades retreat.
Soon she found herself playing reluctant hostess to a mysterious stranger named Jake Donnelly -- and a little boy he implied was his son.
She could tell that Jake had sought her out deliberately. But why? And why did six-year-old Nicholas stir up such painful memories? Most disturbing of all was her passionate response to Donnelly himself.......
Jake had thought he knew everything about Sarah, but he was wrong. Instead of a coldhearted woman, he discovered she was vulnerable, soft, loving.
Jake wanted her, but it was only a matter of time before she was lost to him -- the day she learned the truth about his child. *****
I am not going to give away any more of this great story but inform everyone that Jake and Sarah show up in stories of T. T. Tyler SR# 1073 and I think in Hank Tyler's story in SR# 1115.
Little items like this you don't find out unless you keep a record of your stories and authors.
These books are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED as are all of Longford's books -- definitely Keepers!

5.0 out of 5 stars Jake's Child by Lindsay Longsford, June 18, 2009
By
I put this book down three times. Jake was so full of hate for Sarah, yet he knew Nicholas(Robert) was her son. Okay his friend told him Sarah left him and her child, but Jake knew his friend was nuts, yet he had to test Sarah before he'd let her know Nicholas was her son Robert.
Once he finds Sarah he cuts the tire of this truck so that he and Nicholas have not way of leaving Sarah's house. Then he tells Sarah that she is unfeeling to let a kid be sick without letting him in her house to use the bathroom. Then he takes over both her and her home. Although he sleeps in the truck the first night, that's it.
Then he gives Sarah test after test, only to find he is the one being tested, he is a loner, but Sarah and Nickolas make him want both a home and family.
On page 112 Jake tells Sarah he would never do anything to hurt her, boy have I read that enough times to see the wracking ball coming.
