My grandson and I are thrilled with the DVD Sheep on the Loose. At two yeals old, he loves to watch with a snack or lunch. The DVD has all the quality of the Pbs show,but allows for a more flexible schedule if we are busy outside or away. At night when his parents come home after a busy day, they can watch one of the selections with him and we end up enjoying and laughing all over again. Sometimes Papa comes home early to watch Jakers! As a retired schoolteacher, I believe the program and DVD are excellent in quality and content.

This DVD is as good as the other Jakers. The animation is good and the storys are beautiful, with a special reward to the story of Fernie and the death of his pet fish Tohr, what a tactful way to intorduce children to death and grief.

I have a daughter who is two years, eight months, and she can't get enough of these DVDs. The stories are extremely well done, and the complete lack of violence creates a storyline that's enjoyable, entertaining, and not likely to raise any concerns from an impressionable 2- to 3-year old. At least at this point in time, she's been requesting Jakers viewing time every night. Beautifully animated, and entertaining for adults (with levity provided by Mel Brooks as Lead Sheep). These are great, great cartoons for the kids. Some of the all-around best I've ever seen, and much better than any of the cartoons that were available when I was a kid. Highly recommended.

I bought this video for my grandchildren and they both enjoy it. The title episode was our favorite when it was airing on TV.

This is a wonderful series that was on PBS. I am considering caneling my giving simply since they canceled it. :(

No violence, great stories, funny funny. As in the best kids animations, this one is funny for adults. Mel Brooks is an absolute crack up as the "leader" of the sheep.

The Irish accents are incredibly endearing.

these are great shows, good humor, good values. You'll laugh with the kids - you'll all love it!

I had seen only a few episodes of Jakers! on PBS and Fell in love with it the first time I saw it.
My daughter is only 19 months old so the lessons learned in the show are a bit beyon her- but I am going to ensure that Jakers will be a fav of hers because I like it so much!
There are so many educational shows anymore trying to teach classical music, spanish, sign language and so on which is great- but Jakers teaches lessons in life and does a great job at injecting humor at the same time.
Waking Thor is by FAR the best episode on this DVD (don't get me wrong, they are all great episodes) I wanted to giggle and cry at the same time.
I've never seen anything as hearwarming, cuddly and funny as Jakers.
Kudos to the creators of one of the greatest Kids cartoons ever!!

Not only my son loves to watch the 4 movies comes with this DVD, My wife and I enjoyed watching too. Jackes has always been the kind of animated series not only enjoyable to kids but also to adults.

The reason I gave it 4 stars is that every story seems just a little too short for me.
