5.0 out of 5 stars FANTASTIC!
Very simple to hook to a tv, from box to playing games the first time is approx. 2 min. and that includes reading the directions in that time frame!

I was surprised at how great the graphics were on this game, didn't expect to much because of the cost.
The games are fun, for kids or adults.

I'll be purchasing a few more of these for...

3.0 out of 5 stars Reasonable fun with two of the games
The five games, each based on a popular Disney character, offer a variety of challenges and entertainment opportunities. The games are quite similar to "video" games of the 80's. "The Lion King" game is similar to Tetrus; Lilo and Stitch recalls a level of Mario Brothers; while Pumba and Timon requires shifting pieces to complete a pathway, a requirement for many of the...

The five games, each based on a popular Disney character, offer a variety of challenges and entertainment opportunities. The games are quite similar to "video" games of the 80's. "The Lion King" game is similar to Tetrus; Lilo and Stitch recalls a level of Mario Brothers; while Pumba and Timon requires shifting pieces to complete a pathway, a requirement for many of the more popular offerings of the decade.

The one game that requires prior knowledge is "Donald Duck's Golf Tournament". For those with a background in golf, the game may prove to be engaging.

For those, like myself, that are totally ignorant of the sport, the game is a waste of time.

The game was purchased for my four-year-old nephew but there is a degree of difficulty for him, making it somewhat inappropriate for children under six.

Personally, I find only two of the games worthy: the aforementioned two games inspired by "The Lion King". But, at the agreeable price, the game is worth a purchase for those two.

If so, then go and buy one. I bought this for my 8 yr. old. When I saw it on the shelf, I thought WOW! what a bargain (for 5 games) and all you do is plug it in. Well I soon discovered why it was only $20.00. The first unit we had constantly cut-off while playing. The second unit we had, the picture faded in and out while playing. The third unit did all of the above. I can understand that sometimes things don't work. But for three to be defective is terrible. I even got the third one from a different store in the hope that one from a different "batch" would work. My daughter liked the games so much (when she could play them), that I went out of my way to find one that worked. I don't feel like Jakks Pacific Inc. has very much respect for their customers. At least not enough to make, and test a product to ensure its quality. I would have been willing to pay an extra $5.00 for the game. Maybe if they would have raised the price $1 or $2 then they could afford some quality assurance.

5.0 out of 5 stars The whole family can play, December 28, 2005
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Jakks - Disney TV Game (Toy)
I bought this game for my 5 yr old daughter because it has a 2 player feature for the golf game and I figured we could play it together. Christmas afternoon she came up to me and asked if we could play. Mission accomplished.

I got it on sale and only paid about $15 for it. So far everyone in the family has spent time playing on it. It's become a point of connection for the family. The games are fairly simple and my daughter is improving her manual dexterity and reaction time. She is able to play most of the games and we're having fun playing the golf game together.

All in all I think this was a great purchase and I'm looking to buy other version of the games/controller for my son.

5.0 out of 5 stars Disney's classics- now on a plug n' play game!, July 29, 2005

Since I loved my Namco 80's, Sega, and Sega 2 plug n' play games, I wanted to take my gaming to the next level. I recently got this Plug n' Play game, and it is definitely a favorite.

Here are the games;

Aladdin: Loosely based on the Sega Genesis version, Princess Jasmine has been captured by the evil Jafar, and it's up to Aladdin to get the 5 gems of Agribah and save her, avoiding snakes, thieves, and other various dangers.

Stitch!: While looking through Lilo's photo collection, Stitch accidentally falls into a cave. Can he get all the photos and escape before Lilo comes home in an hour?

Simba's fruit tree: Another game based on Dr. Eggman's Mean Bean Machine. Rafikki the wise baboon is teaching Simba to test his reflexes in this fruit-jumbling, tree shakin' frenzy.

Timon and Pumbaa's mazes: Oh, no! Pumbaa is sleepwalking again! It's up to Timon to switch the paths in the jungle around before Pumbaa wakes up with a splash!

Donald Duck's golf: Watch the birdie, because you and Donald Duck are going golfing. Can you get a hole in one? Please note: 2 players can play this game using the same controller.

My opinion on this is that the Sega Genesis-based Aladdin game is really good for a start, but I wonder if more plug n' play games featuring Sega Genesis-based games will be coming soon, including ones for "The Jungle Book", "The Lion King" and "Toy Story". That would be really nice.

Amazing how long this game has lasted! We have had a few other Plug n' Play games that the kids have managed to destroy the cords or cause shorts in the system. This one has managed to last and withstand the test of kids! The games are simple and vary for all age ranges. My 4 year old, loves the golf. My 6 year old loves the Aladin game. Very impressive durability.

My kids love these games. We have 4 different varieties now. You do have to be careful (these are electronics.) You can't just yank them all over the place and expect them to work fine. If you treat them gently they should last for years. My kids use them constantly after their homework and chores are done, of course! Enjoy!

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun for kids of all ages, August 2, 2005

My mother is 60 years old and plays the "Fruit Drop" game all the time! She brought it with her on vacation!!! Soon, we were all addicted to it. So, I ordered one for every memeber of the family. It is like Tetris, but with fruit. And it is loads of fun. There are other games on it which are almost as enjoyable...

word of advice: buy rechargeable batteries so you don't pollute the environment with all your discards...not that it eats batteries; but if you play all day long every day, eventually, you'll need to replace them.

This was my first plug and play game purchase. I have since bought 4 or 5 others (before finally buying a playstation!) Plug and play games are great for younger kids since they are inexpensive. They are durable, but do use up batteries very quickly. Electrical adapters are available and worth the price if you can find one that will fit the specific plug and play. I have one adapter, but it doesnt fit all our games.

Overall, all the plug and play games are well worth their low prices. They never seem to be more than $20, and I have bought them as low as $5. Great deal...
