A Great Incarnation of the Jeopardy Video Game,

I've tried a several video game versions of Jeopardy and this is among the best. I was surprised at how good it is for such a low price.
I see some are disappointed with multiple choice, but I got over that rather quickly. Many times you won't be able to guess from the four choices if you didn't already know the answer, it's obvious that a lot of thought went into making the answers hard to guess. And you don't have much time to select an answer, so you'd kind of need to know it before you buzzed in anyways. If you don't care for the multiple choice system you can make your own rule that someone must say the answer after they buzz in. There is a delay before the answers appear that would give someone a chance to say the answer before the choices appear. In that way the game would play very much like the show. Really Jeopardy must have an electronic component, the little clickers some Jeopardy games use just create argument, the buzzer eliminates ambiguity. The game can accommodate three players and I think that would get a little claustrophobic with three people grabbing the same controller. We play with two players and a "dummy" third human player that nobody controls to eliminate the annoying third computer opponent. So far I haven't run over any repeated questions, the library seems to be extensive enough to keep playing. I should note though, that the first unit I ordered didn't work and I had to replace it. But the second has been no trouble.

I bought this for myself because I once had a Jeopardy PC game and enjoyed playing it. For $9 this holiday season it was a steal. It's fun I play against my husband. The only thing I don't like is that you can play up to 3 players but with one controler you have to be sitting on top of each other to buzz in. If you're playing just one player then it's fine. I have no problem it being multiple choice.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Jakks Jeopardy TV Game (Toy)
The Jeopardy Game was brand new, but it wasn't what I was expecting. It was pretty outdated already. You need to plug the cord into the TV, and the cord length was short so you have to sit very close to the TV to play. You can play with 3 players, but there is only 1 controller. It is hard for 2 players to be able to answer the questions with 1 controller even. The answers to the questions are multiple choice so it wasn't like the real game. I returned it to the person I bought it from and am waiting for a refund.
