And if that doesn't tell you the truth about this product, I don't know what will.
Green Leef
It has NEVER stayed together for more than 2 minutes at a time when he has tried to play with it and he has given up and left it in a pile in the corner of his room.
A. Wilkinson
Cheap, difficult to put together, it falls apart with the slightest touch, we had to tape the plastic parts together with strapping tape.

I completely agree with the other reviewer. Don't make the same mistake we did! My 6-year-old son decided to spend his birthday money on this Pokemon toy. Despite our unsuccessful efforts to talk him out of it, he insisted this was what he wanted and it came home with us. Oh brother, what a piece of junk. Very flimsy plastic pieces that don't securely fasten together, poor instructions and one Pokemon rubber toy is what you get. Of course, it looks impressive on the box, but once it's together (loosely-fitted together, that is), you have a poorly designed, poorly made toy. You also get a cardboard cutout of a Pokemon hospital that you fold together (woo hoo) and some cardboard backing that requires using your own tape to secure to the back of the toy. Only one thing was no surprise in this surprisingly bad toy: our 6-year-old becoming bored with it in a couple days.

I purchased one month ago from Toy's R US. My son was so excited he couldn't wait until we got home to open it. I spent 50$ on this and it is literally the worst toy I have ever purchased. Poor quality isn't the word. I can't even believe they are allowed to sell this for more than $10.00 Please don't waste your money!!!!!

I was not impressed with this toy...especially for the price. It requires a lot of assembly and comes apart easily. The playing stage for the battles is not big enough. The elevator does not go up and down easily and the other features, such as the trap door, etc., are too simple.

I wish I had read the reviews prior to purchasing this toy for a Christmas gift. My daughter loves Pokemon and we got her this for Christmas. It never assembled well, it kept falling over and breaking. She played with it for all of 10 minutes before it was unenjoyable. It is junk and after 6 months has ended up in the garbage because the parts would not stay together.

Bought this toy for my son - it fell apart almost immediately... HORRIFIC - We paid $35 for it and returned it. Not worth $1.

So my 6 year old LOVES Pokemon. He wanted this toy so badly from Santa. After reading the bad reviews on here there was NO way I was paying the $$$ they were sking for it. Then the week before Christmas Amazon dropped it to $10.99 with FS. So I bit and bought it. He wa sthrilled to see it ynder the tree. It was hard to assemble and has been falling apart since. However I don't feel bad cause it was only $10, so if it makes him happy whatever...I would have been weeping if I had paid anymore than what I did...lol.

My 8-year-old-son son saw this on the shelf at Target earlier this year for fifty bucks, and has wanted it ever since. We told him it was a big waste of money, and there was no way we would buy it for him, but if he wanted to save his money, that was fine. His solution? Ask Santa for "that $50 pokemon toy." I admired his ingenuity, but wasn't thrilled about getting it, especially when I found the 1 star reviews on it here at Amazon. That is, until I saw that it was on sale for eleven bucks. For eleven dollars, Santa felt good getting it.

Christmas morning, he was thrilled. Then he opened it up. The box is covered in pictures of a bunch of different Pokemon toys all playing and battling happily in the pokemon treehouse. Shortly after opening the box, he came up to me and said "Mom, this toy only comes with one Raichu. What a rip off!" Which led to a great discussion about marketing, and the meaning of "caveat emptor" (let the buyer beware).

As for everyone's complaints about the toy's quality, I couldn't comment simply because my son hasn't played with it for a single second. It's sitting in a jumbled pile of plastic parts on the floor of his room. And if that doesn't tell you the truth about this product, I don't know what will.

Overall, for eleven dollars, this toy was worth the lesson it taught my son about the reality of advertising.

This toy is quite expensive, especially since it falls apart within the first half hour of play! The cardboard background pictures don't even stick to the plastic when you first put it together! I would give it a 1-star rating, but my son is a HUGE Pokemon fan and he really enjoys this toy. He doesn't care if the top part has fallen off - he has Pokemon battles on the base piece (blue water) with his Pokemon figures. If you are buying for a Pokemon fan, you might consider this toy because there is a good chance your Pokemon fan will not care if it doesn't hold together. But, be prepared. It is not made well at all and is very over-priced.
