I purchased this coffee because a friend recommended the company that produces and markets it. But I love it because it's smooth and rich, with just enough acidity and none of that "decaf taste" that other, lesser coffees have.

Each 12 oz bag comes in its own box, so this coffee is easily giftable, and I intend to share the wealth, as it were, with my sisters, who are both coffee lovers.

Here's something for you to consider doing: if you have a family member who really should drink decaf but hates the very idea of doing so, mix this 50/50 with good quality regular. Each week or so, add more of this decaf, and soon, you will have that person hooked on this coffee with absolutely no hassle.

I do think, however, that you can serve this and fool people immediately. Just, please, hide the box! ;-)

I tried this coffee with and without cream. Either way, it immediately struck us as being one of those rare fantastic coffees that has great strength in its taste, but without being harsh or smoky.

This so called "coffee" has no taste whatsoever. As recommended on the package, I tried it with using one heaping TBSP spoon per 6 oz of water. I may as well have been drinking hot water. Repeated with 2 TBSP. Same result. And you have to buy three 12 oz packages for thirty dollars, before you find out. Who knows if this is even coffee or just colored sawdust? Save your thirty dollars, heat up some water and drink that.

Update Jan 19: Amazon customer service is fantastic. I called them and told them this coffee was not up to par, and they offered me a refund. It is hardly Amazon's fault this coffee is hopeless, but they still offered the refund. Amazon = excellent customer service.

This coffee is very smooth, rich but does not have bitterness... Very good coffee and I was impressed... decaf. drinkers, this is the coffee you shoudl drhink...
