5.0 out of 5 stars A Prize in Every Box!, February 21, 2005

I've never been a huge fan of pop music; there was just always something... insincere about it. I don't know. It always seemed like bands that conveyed that upbeat attitude only did it part time or tried way too hard. That is 100% not the case here.

I'll be honest; the first time my friend played one of their CDs when I was around, I had thought he was joking. Power-pop? Who listens to that? By the second track, I was hooked. I'm dead serious, once you start to listen to this band, you cannot stop!

So, buy the CD, but be prepared... you'll never be the same again...

There are two kinds of people in this world: those who go around muttering, "I hate myself for the rest of my life," and those who buy this cd.

My deep pesonal thanks to the guy working at the Ben & Jerry's near Rittenhouse Square for playing this cd while I bought ice cream today. This band R-A-W-K-S!

5.0 out of 5 stars Zolof Rules!, August 19, 2003

You may not like Zolof's music at first, but if you give it a chance it rocks! It has catchy tunes that make you happy! I think they named the zoloft anti-depression drug after this band because they are an anti-depressant! I got to see them with the starting line and picked up their cd... Greg rocks the tambourine! Check them out!...

If your on the fence about buying this Cd, let me help you out. If you don't take the oppritunity to buy Jalopy Go Far now, you will definitly regret it later. Their super cute vocals draw you in, and the band's awesome sounds keep you listening until the end of the Cd; and like any good addiction, it makes you want more Zolof.
I would love to tell you my favorite song, but I would hate to have to choose. This Cd is a must have, for anyone who likes decent music.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Greatest Cd Ever!, May 8, 2003
This review is from: Jalopy Go Far (Audio CD)
Ever song on this cd rocks so hard! It's got super cute female vocals and amazing synths to boot. Forget weezer and all those other power pop comparisons, this belongs in a league of its own. I saw these guys live and was enamored with their performance. I've never seen someone rock a tambourine so hard in my life! Now I spread the powers of Zolof to everyone. Buy this cd now and rock it like a hurricane. Go Tiger! check out thier site too...

4.0 out of 5 stars Solid, February 1, 2010
This review is from: Jalopy Go Far (MP3 Download)
Listening to this album is like riding a jet ski in that it is impossible to frown while doing either. It's fun, upbeat power pop. The only real downside is that it is so short (clocking in at under 22 minutes). Their followup album Schematics features much improved songwriting and should definitely be purchased if you enjoy this. Zolof took a couple big steps forward with it.

5.0 out of 5 stars YAY zolof rules!!!, January 11, 2006
By
This review is from: Jalopy Go Far (Audio CD)
this is my first zolof the rock n roll destroyer cd, and i'm really glad it is. it's really fast, exciting, and dancy so that anyone can enjoy.

you can easily tell that this album is very different from their first, and that they've grown a lot since then. zolof is trying to find their own grounds and where they stand in today's world of music. well, either that or they're a couple of crazy kids having FUN.

when i first listened to this album i didn't like it at all. After a few listens, i got used to them and some how, a little after that i've became obsessive.

so please don't be discouraged when u get the album at first if it kind of throws you off. they might just win u over. ;D

4.0 out of 5 stars Zolof is perscription fun! Do mix with alcohol., August 8, 2005

This review is from: Jalopy Go Far (Audio CD)
This band was the 1st of 4 opening bands for Reel Big Fish but BY FAR the best. Their energy and great attitudes are just slightly less addicting than their fun, punk-poppy tunes. Rachel's voice is sunny and confident, and her harpsichord-type thingy is a cool addition to their sound. Tank (drummer) is 10 times more powerful live than is represent on the disc. Vince has got Green Day power chord precision. Instant sing-a-longs, fan friendly access, these guys are a Conan appearance away from big-time. Pick up this CD!! Zolof is the perfect medication for our A.D.D. afflicted music lovers!

I am a fan of many of Eyeball records bands, but this particular band is one that caught my attention. The vocals are amazing.
I hope this band goes far. Grab a copy today.
