The Wallenford Estate tends to be one of the better roasts of Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee.

First a little background on me. I Am a coffee drinking fiend. I probably keep several countries coffee production up, so I know coffee. I don't mind strong coffee or so so tasting coffee I just dont expect it to be expensive so so tasting coffee. I have had and love Jamaican Blue mountain coffee before but it was a lot more expensive than this. This came in a cute little burlap sack (you get some style points there) but after that it's pretty much down hill. The coffe is not the normal rich tasting wonderfull smelling JBM I have had before, it just tastes like every other coffee albeit at an extravagent price. I have ordered some more Blue mountain from another supplier will have to see how that goes. This is one that will not get any repeat business from me. There are plenty of other better tasting coffees out there at a lower price.

This is the real deal people. This is real Jamaican Coffee. There are a few brands that claim to be from Blue Mountain, but they do not have that authentic taste. My wife is Jamaican and we have been to Jamaica a few times, but I never seem to bring back enough coffee so I set out to find a brand here in the states that would be atleast close to what you get in Jamiaca and this is it. Wow what flavor!

I was one of the buyers from China, I believe amazon, long-term international transshipment logistics company in the amazon shopping, merchandise presentation Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee, Certified 100% Pure, Roasted Beans by Wallenford Estate Coffee Company.
Is the CIB certified coffee dealer.
I received the goods Wallenford Blue.
Wallenford Blue is a the CIB certified dealers, but the product has not been CIB certification.
This is cheating, I did not expect such fraudulent businesses in the United States in the amazon.
Strongly urge the the amazon punishment such dishonest merchants.

The Wallenford Estate tends to be one of the better roasts of Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee. (I find the Mad City roast to be slightly superior, but it is not available on Amazon.) There are some barbarians in my local area who believe that extreme dark roast is popular, so they do this ultra scorch job on Jamaican Blue Mountain. Wallenford Estate delivers promptly and withou any fuss.

So I had my first taste of Jamaica blue mountain coffee today and can honestly say it's the best, most smooth cup of coffee i've had. The smell when you first open the bag is divine, when you grind down the beans it only gets better. I use a Bruville single cup coffee maker to make my coffee so i'm not exactly sure if it would taste different with a drip coffee maker, i'll have to use one and then update this review. Not only can you smell the difference from your run of the mill coffee but you can see the difference as well,a dark rich looking cup but not overbearing or bitter just really smooth. The only thing about buying this bag from Amazon is that your paying close to 20$ more than you should. I got the same bag from coffeeforless.com for 54$ and free shipping.

I just got my dinky pound of Jamican and gotta say it was not bad coffee. I guess with all the hype (and the price) I expected liquid gold but to me it was more like a starbucks breakfast blend. Not gonna give up yet and will try others Jamicans to see what the whole rave is about.

I've always read the adulatory reviews of Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee, and so decided to treat myself to some, having recently invested in a high end coffee machine.

I'm sorry, but the coffee disappointed. About the most impressive thing was its high price. The taste was disappointing. (Note I'm not saying that the coffee is unfairly expensive by Blue Mountain standards, all BM coffee commands a hefty price premium. I'm simply saying that it is expensive compared to other coffee I buy and do like.)

Maybe that's just me, and maybe I'm the proof that not everyone who lives in Seattle is a coffee expert! But while I've found various coffee types from Trader Joe's and Costco that I've really liked, and others that I've not liked so much, which at least indicates I can discriminate a little between coffee styles, I found this disappointing.

So, my suggestion is buy a small quantity of this first. Maybe you'll love it, but if you don't, you'll be pleased not to have to try out Amazon's return policies. :)
