1.0 out of 5 stars And Your Point is?, November 14, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Jamaica Through My Eyes (Hardcover)
The photos in this book are very low quality and yes photos don't have to be good to capture your attention of tell a story that being said it did neither. As a proud Jamaican I was very disappointed it shares nothing of the country, people or culture it's just random photos. I'm sure she had a point to this book whatever it was I don't get it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not as good as Ray Chen's book, June 9, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Jamaica Through My Eyes (Hardcover)
It's nice to know there is more than one book that attempts to capture the beauty of Jamaica from a non tourist point of view. I also give this woman kudos for having the courage to share her art. However, this work doesn't come close to Ray Chen's representation of Jamaica and it's people, which is unfortunate since Chen's book was done in the 70's. Anyway, there are some photos in this book that are blurry when they didn't need to be so. It seemed more like bad production than an artistic choice. It was disappointing, as I too have a passion for photography. Maybe for those who just want to get a sense of the country this book will suffice. Certainly isn't horrible, but it sure could be better.
