Same as Collection 1-3 + QoS, October 21, 2009
This review is from: James Bond 10-Pack [Blu-ray] (Blu-ray)
This collection is the same as the James Bond Blu-Ray Collections 1,2, and 3. The only exception is that they've thrown Quantum of Solace in as well (Quantum, License to Kill and Man with the Golden Gun were in a BestBuy exclusive pack). Overall, unless you can find really good deals on the original collections, this is a great buy (collections were originally $60-80, now $43).
Having owned the collections, I can say that the level of quality on these Blu-rays are superb. The footage contains no graininess you might expect from movies 40+ years old. If your a Bond fan, this set (assuming you don't already own the collections) is worth every penny.

Great Movies, Great Packaging!, December 1, 2009
This review is from: James Bond 10-Pack [Blu-ray] (Blu-ray)
Just to confirm comments provided by another reviewer, this set includes all ten movies in individual blu-ray cases. In fact, some of the original tape on the top of the blu-ray cases was still attached, as if Amazon had opened the movies (or used previously opened movies) and simply repackaged them. I inspected all of the movies though and did not notice any scratches or finger prints, so believe them to be new. The cardboard box is simply used to house them, but can be discarded. This packaging is much nicer and more protective of the discs than that of the 3 disc sets. Those sets have silly foam inserts stuck to cardboard sleeves, which are supposed to keep the discs secured; however, the foam is attached with a weak adhesive, making the discs prone to harm if they become dislodged during transport or frequent use.
As for the movies themselves, the PQ and AQ are phenomenal. I own the Ultimate DVD set and did a quick comparison on my Panasonic 50V10. The blu-rays are noticeably crisper with significantly more detail apparent. The Lowry restoration and resolution available with blu-ray have allowed these movies to age very well. I am happy about upgrading and will be posting my DVDs on Ebay soon. Hopefully, I'll be able to replace the rest of the films in the near future. Highly recommended for any Bond fan!!!

Great packaging, Great movies, Great transfers., December 1, 2009
This review is from: James Bond 10-Pack [Blu-ray] (Blu-ray)
These are the same discs and packaging that you would buy individually, just with an extra cardboard case to keep them together. No digipaks or foam spindle holder here. Each one comes in its own normal blu-ray case. If you add more to your collection you can ditch the outer cardboard case and everything will match. As for the movies, look up the individual reviews for each title, but MGM has done a terrific job with them.
