Great Jazz Saxaphone!!!,
By A Customer
This review is from: James Cafe (Audio CD)
If you want to relax to some great smooth jazz, this is the CD for you. I got tired of listening to the same old Kenny G songs that all sound the same. A friend of mine told me about this artist after he saw him in concert in Chicago. His music is refreshing and relaxing. This music is great to listen to in the car, at the office, or at home. If you like SMOOTH JAZZ, buy this CD!!!!

Expand your musical life....,

Perhaps for many, this is your first trip out of the musical sandbox, however, there are many other Sax players making wonderful smooth music all over the world. Believe it or not there are many different styles within Jazz as well. To relate everything to Kenny G, as most of the other reviewers did, only exemplifies their stunted, very limited, musical awareness. By all means buy this CD and then you will have the ability to now review jazz by more than one artist. Listen to the cuts and also check out: Jeff Kashia, Boney James, Rick Braun, Steve Cole, Peter White (great guitar), Gregg Karukas, Kirk Walhum, Najee, Nelson Rangell, Chris Botti, Richard Elliot, Sado Wantanabe, David Sanborn etc. That ought to keep you busy for a while and help you find out what types of music you are in to.... Porter, another tropical-icy-drink, please....

Where's the beat?,

This review is from: James Cafe (Audio CD)
I bought this CD and was dissapointed that the song I heard on the radio which had an uptempo steppers beat was not on the album. Instead I got a cd full of elevator music that quite frankly is sub-par at best. If you like that sort of thing then this is for you.

I have never been a huge jazz fan, however, when I saw jimmy sommers show in L.A. I had to get his latest C.D. I think his music is incredible and at such a young age he could easily be the next Kenny G. He's sexier!!!
