First off, I was a FOOL for paying $80.00 for this.. uh.. "terrible" product; and now, the review..
I originally baught this because it boasts a "full virtual tour of the Titanic" and also claimed to have insights and a whole "timeline" of the events that took place on the ship, from start to end.. and.. also claiming to be "historically-accurate". THIS IS NOT THE CASE! The "events" that are presented to you, in the timeline, are more or less taken right from the scripts of the movie- and liberties were taken as to satisfy the PLOTS of the movie; therefore, seriously damaging any credability of historical fact or validity. Not to mention, the interface was "clunky and slow". Now, about that "Virtual Tour".. I understand.. they didn't have the ACTUAL ship, which sits at the bottom of the Atlantic, of course.. and that they used the movie set of the Titanic which was (I think) 1:6 of the actual ship.. But... Assuming that the "model" ship was still "somewhat" realative to the real ship and that this model did contain MOST of what a ship would have... this "Virtual Tour" really only consists of -TEN- (10) areas! Bridge, Gangway, 2nd Class Entryway, 1st Class Cabin, A Deck, Poop Deck, Bow Head, Grand Staircase, Steerage Bunks and 2nd Class Lounge. There were some parts you can see from these positions, such as the C deck restaurant, Second Class Staircase and Cafe Parsia, etc.. but you couldn't actually GO to them! I found the tour VERY DISSAPPOINTING and even INSULTING! (I also have the "Titanic, Adventure Out Of Time" GAME that has MORE areas of the Titanic that you can visit- more than this thing! But, that would be a DIFFERENT review.. ;-) ) This was a TERRABLE product overall.. definately *NOT* worth the $80.00 I paid for it! -DjZ- |
