Editorial Reviews

From the Publisher

Coston delivers once again in exceptional scholarly content, painstaking research, and down to earth writing in this volume "King James VI & I Innocent Until Proven Guilty". One cannot help but ask him or herself why do some people seem to go out of their way to denigrate the memory of so great a King. Why all one has to do is read King James' works to see the true man. And that is what Stephen A. Coston SR. does, he makes the otherwise inaccessible documents of the past (authored by the King himself and his contemporaries) available and presents the evidence for the reader to see and weigh.

In "King James VI & I Innocent Until Proven Guilty" the reader will be able to read actual court documents and learn the truth with regards to James' Kingly character and certain rebellious zealots dwelling in the lands. Additional source materials from King James and his contemporaries are sited and quoted from in length & detail, works not previously included in Coston's book "King James VI & I Unjustly Accused".

From the Author

The quest for justice continues! After completing work on the 1st edition of King James The VI Of Scotland And I Of England - Unjustly Accused? I soon realized the need for a supplementary work to adequately deal with the other diatribes offered against His Majesty King James VI & I. In this work, splendidly and masterfully artistically enhanced by Mr. Richard Neumeier, and his lovely wife, Deborah, you will find a forensic rejoinder to the claims that James VI & I "burned Baptists" and that the Anglican Church of which he was temporal head was a hetero-orthodox assembly. You will find that the contentions and dissimulations of his Puritan critics are put into proper perspective, and the critical case about James VI & I's lust for blood disproved. The fact of law are cited in detail, and many hitherto unknown historical facts are brought to light in a heuristic approach to the anti-Jacobean problem. Though many thought, indeed they wished that my last work would be my last, the research to right the wrongs on the regal memory of His Majesty continue. If you care about truth, if you value detailed documentation rather than rhetoric, if you are interested in history and chivalry - this work is for you.
