This book does exactly what it claims... it is a study guide. It presents background information on the book of James and gives a rough idea of the book and each chapter individually. However, pulling out what the book is actually saying is something that Jensen leaves up to the reader (which will lead to what does it mean, which leads to application.) This book will definitely aid anyone looking to study James but not being spoon-fed with what it is about.
