I recently purchased a concord reference Bible and was excited to receive it in the mail until I found several problems with it. The binding, upon which Canbridge prides itself, was already beginning to crease on the spine after the first careful opening. The Title on the cover was printed slightly crooked and the logo on the leather cover (spine area) was blured. I may have gotten a lemon among the may good ones, but it was nevertheless disappointing. I will be returning it for a refund. A Bible that costs so much should be better quality. I will try the next one up in quality.

The Bible is GOD's Holy book, given to us so that we may have hope in eternity. All men are cast down with burdens of sin, and this world is so fallen that we should really have no hope of mercy from the LORD. (Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy GOD in vain. Thou shalt not commit adultery. Remember the Sabbath day to keep it Holy. Six days shalt thou labour.....but the seventh.....rest.) He is gracious and merciful to all mankind even though we break his commandments every minute of every day. If this version of the Bible was to be forgotten, what would become of us? We are destined to hell and damnation. How can people say that GOD does not exist? This Bible is so detailed and understandable, there is no need for simple versions, beleive me, it is easy to understand! This Bible has the words of Christ in red. The Gospels are the books of Christ, his birth and his death for all our sins. He was hung on that cross so that we may be saved. But only if we truly believe. This Bible tells us that 'we can be saved by faith and faith alone.' I think that everyone should be told about this Holy book and believe in it and GOD. That is the only way to get to heaven in eternity.

I just received this bible today and from a quality standpoint...it don't get much better. I was very disappointed at the fact that when I asked for a Red Letter edition, I thought the words of Christ (everywhere) would be in red. Not so. Primarily, it's in the Gospels and not much of anywhere else. I did find a little of the Lord's words in red in the beginning of Acts but that was it. No where is His words in red in Revelation which is contrary to every other bible I have-especially the 2nd and 3rd chapters which are 90% in red. What gives here? All Jesus' words should be in red throughout the N.T. and not in the Gospels only. Disappointed in this and thinking about sending it back. When the ad says, "Words of the Lord in Red", that's the way it should be...everywhere in red-from the Gospels through Revelation where it should be. I have written Cambridge about this but it's too soon for an answer yet. I'm anxious to see what they have to say about this. Could it have been a printing/masking of the negatives error? I don't know.
