For almost 10 years Jamie has been living as a recluse in the mountains of North Carolina. He makes occasional appearances in Visitation, the closest town. Although he pretty much keeps to himself, lately he has found himself developing friendships with some of the people in Visitation which makes him uncomfortable. So when a woman suddenly appears on his mountain looking for him he's not sure how to handle it. Faith was sent to find Jamie and help him, although with what she's not sure yet. Faith knew Jamie years ago before the betrayal that had sent him into seclusion. Although Jamie had never noticed her back then she has always loved him. Jamie's unsure about trusting Faith but before long they find themselves involved in a passionate relationship and falling in love. But when the past suddenly comes back to haunt them can they both survive? Maybe with a little help from Jamie's friends in Visitation.

I have long been a fan of Lori Foster. Her books have a place of honor on my keeper shelf. With so many mainstream romance authors seemingly moving away from their fan bases it is such a wonderful treat to pick up a book by an author that you love and get what you expected. A sensual well told romance that grabs your attention, won't let you put it down until it over and leaves you wishing that it was longer because you weren't ready to stop reading. Readers of the Visitation stories have long waited for Jamie's story and they won't be disappointed. A sexy tortured hero, a heroine determined to help him, secrets which keep you engrossed waiting to find out what's happening, lots of help from the characters from the other Visitation books and the conclusion of Alyx and Scott's story make this book a must read for Lori Foster fans.

Jamie has been living life in the shadows. Or at least he has tried but some of Visitation's most headstrong citizens have not let him be totally alone. Of course he feels compelled to help when he "sees" something but he never expected anyone to want to help him. Than one rainy day his life changes with the invasion of one headstrong, chatty woman. She is dripping wet, sick with fever, and she's not going to stop until she has finally talked to Jamie. Faith is on a mission but first she must earn Jamie's trust before she will trust him with her own secret.

Faith is from Jamie's past but he doesn't know this until she shares with him a small part of how she "knows" him. Truth be told, she has always felt something for the mysterious Jamie. Men have never measured up to him. But failure on her mission is not an option. Now if she can only gain Jaime's trust and maybe, just maybe capture the heart of the one man she has ever loved.

Every once and awhile the loyal fans and readers of romance are treated to a romance hero that will live with them long after the romance is finished. Jamie Creed can now be added to that illustrious list. Ms. Foster's latest effort has been well worth the wait. "Jamie" is without a doubt my favorite in the "Visitation Series" and for readers that have been waiting for his story, you won't be sorry. Plot, pacing, and characterization are top drawer. End result you will have a wonderful book to escape into filled with old friends, and one sensual romantic storyline between Jaime and Faith. I highly recommend this read and any other titles on Ms. Foster's backlist.

I've always enjoyed Lori Foster's series. "The Buckhorn Brothers" series was as hot as it comes. The "Winston Brothers" series was great & segued into what I call "The Visitation Series". I enjoyed hearing the story of Joe (a Winston cousin) and Luna which was the first in the series. After reading "The Secret Life of Bryan I couldn't wait for the next book. "When Bruce Met Cyn" was far fetched, even for fiction. But I kept going and read "Just a Hint Clint" which had a completely annoying female lead. I had such high hopes for "Jamie" that I bought it in hardback.

Jamie has been a constant throughout the series. He's a mysterious, intuitive, and solitary man. Not to mention he's pretty hot. He's there when needed and is quick to help the residents. But he vanishes just as quickly and makes it clear that he's uncomfortable around people and prefers to live as he does, alone on his mountain.

My first problem: The entire group intends to converge on Jamie, with Alex leading because she's the only one who knows where Jamie lives. Remind me not to trust her with anything secret and/or life threatening. Generally, someone decides to live alone for one or all of three reasons. 1. They prefer to live alone. 2. They live alone in order to protect someone else. 3. They live alone because they're protecting themselves. It was very likely that one of the group or Jamie himself would be put in danger by their actions. I don't believe that those in the group such as Joe or Shay would allow this to happen. They'd have some respect for him and be a little more concerned about possible consequences.

Faith basically forces her way into Jamie's home, refuses to leave and admits that one of her goals is to have sex with him so she can control him better. She's supposedly shy and yet she's always flaunting some uncovered part of her anatomy at him. She acts like a child, pouts when she doesn't get her way and when she doesn't want to hear something Jamie says; she sticks her fingers in her ears and chants "Lah, lah, lah." She has a plain face, as we are constantly told, but as Jamie put's it she's "stacked". She's going to "protect" Jamie and does so by following him even though he tells her specifically not to. Once even though he told her it was someone else's personal business she still followed him. Does this woman have a brain or a respectful bone in her body? He obviously knows what he's doing since he's survived for ten years he; and he didn't want her there for a reason. It follows that it would ruin his focus to have to worry about her. Between Faith and the rest of the group it's a wonder he made it out alive.

Jamie wants to be with Faith for sex, is totally obsessed and is lusting after her like a dog in heat from the get go. He's constantly focused on getting her into bed. Faith hides her thoughts from Jamie and doles out information a little at a time. She worked for the company and the woman that almost destroyed Jamie's life. Other than that he didn't know much about her. He doesn't know whether she plans to hurt or help him. But he ignores all of this because he wants her physically. This is not Jamie. He wouldn't take that kind of risk with his life and the lives of others. His common sense and his survival instincts would win out over hormones.

This solitary, secretive man suddenly has no problem with a large group of people witnessing the most personal aspects of his life, and interfering in aforementioned aspects. It's hard to believe that a man, who had lived alone for ten years and just occasionally even spoke to another person, would suddenly be comfortable hanging out in crowds, virtually overnight. By the end of the book the Jamie we knew through this entire series was gone. Jamie had morphed into a Visitation Stepford guy. He was no longer anyone special. Yes, he had physic powers but he looked the same, dressed the same and lived the same as any other guy in town. All the traits and qualities that made him Jamie were gone.

I was so disappointed I wanted to cry. It took me a week to get through this book as it didn't hold my interest, I disliked Faith, and Jamie turned into an idiot.

It's just as well this is the end of the series because I wouldn't spend my money on another book. The serious started with a bang and ended up a disappointing whimper.

I've grown accustomed to picking up Lori Foster's books without even thinking about it, knowing I'll get a hot romance and a great story... until I read "When Bruce Met Cyn". I disliked that book so much it put me off Ms. Foster for a little bit and then I heard about Jamie and thought it would be a nice way to get back into her stories. It didn't quite work out that way.

Jamie is a remote viewer whose psychic abilities allow him to see, feel, hear, and basically experience the people around him on all levels. He was a lab rat, experimented on, used, lied to, and manipulated until he took off and disappeared, ending up in the mountains in a cabin.

Faith comes looking for him because her daughter (apparently as psychic as Jamie) tells her to. Danger, danger, danger!

Unfortunately the book spends almost all its time with the same situation. Jamie being drawn to Faith sexually. Faith throwing herself at Jamie's feet (literally) or winding up naked somehow.

I'd figured out the "mystery" Faith was keeping long before the novel ended and I couldn't figure out how Jamie could be so blind about it when he was supposed to be so intuitive. Even if Faith could block him out, come on. It wasn't that hard!

Lori Foster writes well. Her characters are usually great and I love the sexual tension between them. But this time, it came off flat and repetitive and I was looking forward to the end of the book.

Not one of her better stories and not one I'd recommend.

Ok, let me start out by saying that I really, really, really liked this last installment in the series, but it was not my favorite by far. I have been waiting for Jamie since I knew that he was getting his own story, and I wasn't disappointed by any means, but I didn't love it as much as all the other reviewers did or as much as the rest of the stories from Visitation.As my favorite, I'm torn between Clint and Julie's story and Bruce and Cyn's. I did find it highly enjoyable and sweet(enough to read it in one day), and I did like revisiting all of her previous characters. I was sooooo thrilled that Lori Foster wrapped up deputy Scott and Alyx's relationship for us b/c I really enjoyed those two in the other novels and they made this book twice as nice as it otherwise would have been. I'm a little sad that it's over. oh well at least we got a happy ending to an unforgettable(re-readable)series.

Don't make the same mistake I did. Read the Winston Brothers, Wild, Say No to Joe?, The Secret Life of Bryan, When Bruce Met Cyn, and Just a Hint - Clint, before you read Jamie. I loved all of the books and love the idea of building on the relationships of the people that populate them. Jamie was terrific and I heartily recommend it. Where are these people and why are they no in my real life? Remember, this is not high brow literature, but it is well written.

I had high expectations of this book. Jamie has always been a mysterious character throughout this series. However this book was a huge letdown. It did not explore the characters' developments or add to the story. You as a reader find out Jamie's backstory but it's not as interesting and involved as I would have thought it would be. The romance in the book isn't exciting or thrilling. You are almost left wondering why they are together. The book wraps up very weird and isn't really explained fully. The very last chapter isn't as funny as the author wanted it to be either. I would recommend this book to someone wanting to finish out the series but don't get your hopes up too high.

He is soon visited by someone from his past who worked in the clinic specializing in paranormal experimentation where he spent several years. Jamie is not only clairvoyant, but he can also read thoughts and make predictions. Which kind of annoys his few friends when he answers questions before being asked.

Faith was a record keeper at the clinic. Now years later, she tries to keep the bad guys from him while asking for his help in keeping her daughter safe. Of course, soon they fall for each other, while danger lurks in the shadows, bringing back memories from his time in captivity.

The final installment in a five-book series starting with "Say No to Joe," you probably need to read the others to truly enjoy this one. I am not a fan of the sequel books (or movies). I found the presence of the characters from the rest of the series popping in and out to be kind of annoying.

Overall, I found the story to be predictable, monotonous, and not quite up to what I expect from a Lori Foster book, which is mainly her trademark for sizzling romance. This one was lukewarm at best and I just could not get into the whole paranormal aspect to the story.

If you want to give Jamie a chance, be sure to read Joe, Bryan, Bruce, and Clint first, or you might be as disappointed as I was.

I read about Joe,Bryan, Bruce, and Clint and I couldn't wait till I read Jamie. I knew his story was going to make me cry, because he deserved happiness. I can't believe anyone who read this book didn't love him. You learned to love him through the others stories, but after his..everything made since. Good book..Read it!

If you are familiar with the wonderful Visitation series by Lori Foster, then chances are you've fallen a little bit in love with Jamie Creed. Now it's his turn to fall in love, and his story is as special as he is. He's mysterious, solitary, sexy, and prone to appearing when he's least expected, then disappearing without a trace. Jamie Creed didn't intend to become so attached to the people of Visitation, but it was in his nature to help when he was needed, and by doing so, he worked his way into the hearts of many. He never wanted anyone to get hurt, so he stayed up on his mountain, away from those who cared about him, in the hopes it would keep them safe. You see, Jamie has amazing abilities, and he had already been hurt once by people claiming to use those abilities for good. He doesn't want anyone else to be hurt because of him. But someone has found Jamie, someone he didn't expect has come to his mountain, and already he's opening up his heart to this woman named Faith, and her special daughter Cory, and starting to think that maybe he can have his own happy ending. Faith knows a side of Jamie and understands him better than he understands himself. But when signs of trouble start to appear, will he lose everything? Jamie is extraordinary, and it's wonderful to see him discover that he is worthy of love, more than he ever dreamed. Frequent interactions with characters from previous books make this story even more touching, and you laugh and cry as Jamie realizes how much he means to his friends. 'Jamie' is the perfect ending to a sexy, emotional, and amusing series that has touched many readers. Lori Foster is an exceptional writer who knows how to tug at your heart.
