4.0 out of 5 stars Good Book for Jamie Fans and if you like the show
This cookbook is a follow up to Jamie Olives series "Jamie Does" The series follows Jamie on a series of mini breaks that he takes.

As much as I appreciate the series and wanted the recipes from the series. These are authentic recipes that Jamie has JAMIEIZED. So if you are expecting authentic recipes that remind you of your trips to Spain, France, Italy,...

3.0 out of 5 stars Not Jamie's best.
I love Jamies recipes, but this is not his best collection. It is slimmer than most, and it doesn't seem to hang together like his other books. It's a bit of this and a bit of that. There is a lot of padding between the recipes, and quite a few of the recipes look vaguely familiar with a few tweaks. If you loved the TV series and want a reminder, then it's perfect. If...

If you want a good cookbook full of quality recipes to last you quite a few years try a different Jamie book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Book for Jamie Fans and if you like the show, October 24, 2010
This review is from: Jamie Does. . . (Hardcover)
This cookbook is a follow up to Jamie Olives series "Jamie Does" The series follows Jamie on a series of mini breaks that he takes.

As much as I appreciate the series and wanted the recipes from the series. These are authentic recipes that Jamie has JAMIEIZED. So if you are expecting authentic recipes that remind you of your trips to Spain, France, Italy, Morocco ETC. Just get the cookbook that reaches you how to cook authentic regional recipes.

The recipes are good for the westernized palettes. Flavorful and to Jamies credit he tries to keep it light with the use of Olive oil.

All in all the recipes are good and tasty and usually easy to make. The book itself is well laid out and has some well written stories as the precursor to the recipes. The photography of the book is great. Sometimes I wonder what the food would look like if they did not modify the color hues to make greens greener ETC.

Not a bad book and I would recommend it to friends or to people that like Jamie Oliver.
