This is an excellent workout for the beginner who is short on time. The 50-minute tape is composed of two separate workouts. The beginner warm-up moves you gently through stretching the entire body, and the intermediate workout includes Salute to the Sun and additional poses. The pace is smooth-flowing with no down time, as Jan Smith's clear instruction is played simultaneous with her demonstration. Her choice of exercises is great for developing flexibility. After trying tapes that were too hard, too talky or ill-paced, I consider this the ideal balance for the beginner looking for a brief, but effective yoga workout, with the ability to grow into intermediate level. This is a tape you can stay with for a long time.
