our son was looking for a backpack large enough for his schoold binders, plus the PE clothes, and does not look too bulky or big. This is a perfect choice. And the saving of 50% compared to our local store makes this purchase an excellent deal.

I purchased this backpack right before I went on vacation. We were camping in a place that doesn't allow you to leave your valuables in the car (as they may be stolen), so I had to carry 2 laptops, a D60 and several iPods with me at all times. That was waaay too many things. While the backpack held up fine, it was uncomfortable to wear for several mile hikes.

Anyway, with just a laptop and a D60 it's still light and easy enough to have on my back for my morning commute (a moderately long bike ride), and for short day-hikes.

It's spacious and light and durable. I would buy this item again (I've already purchased 2!).

Bought this bag after a bit of searching in Amazon. I was looking for something to carry my 15" ThinkPad, along with books and my thermos to college everyday. I have a fifteen minute walk (one way) and this bag feels great on the shoulders. Accessible tiny compartments in the front pouch ensure that your rummaging-about-for-your-keys days are over!I bought the blue ridge though I'd suggest the black looks the best.I raved about this bag so much that two of my friends have bought it and they love it too. Finally the price is great and the bag is functional. I hope to carry it when I travel too. I have a 400D Digital Rebel ad I chose this bag because another reviewer said she could fit in two SLRs and a laptop and other stuff! I rated this with 5 stars!

This bag is perfect for those who need to pack large items such as books, clothing, etc. however there are not enough small compartments to accomodate smaller items and keep them organized.

I bought this for my son's diaper/carry on bag when flying. It's great. It's large enough so that it's the only carry on we need, yet it's not so bulky that it takes up too much space. I can easily fit 10 diapers, a couple books, a couple changes of clothes, snacks, toys and my laptop in this bag.

I gave it to my friend as a present, and he liked it a lot! It is comfortable and fashionable! He says that he puts more books (in addition to the laptop) to this backpack and it feels lighter than less books in his old backpack!

I recommend it to everyone!

I have traveled quit a lot with it and I can tell that is a very well made bag.

I primarily use it to carry my laptop and essentials to office and as cabin baggage.

It is strong and well built. Shoulder straps and back are well cushioned for comfort.

Water bottle holder is pretty big to hold large water bottle.

Only thing it would have been good if there were 2 bottle holders.

I bought this backpack for law school based on its size and attractiveness. The backpack arrived promptly and is indeed very attractive. However, there is not enough room for my (small) laptop and small 1" binders in the main section, let alone my books.

Half of the space of the whole backpack is in the front pouch, which is an awkward shape. Books will not fit well in there. If you do not need much space for books, this would be a beautiful, well made choice. Otherwise, try something else.

I had a Jansport I bought at college about 16 years ago that I've returned numerous times for repairs and have loved. However, it's gross and unravelling to the point where it was time for a new bag.

I live a very active lifestyle and I like this bag.

Good strong straps that are comfortable.

Waterproofing works really well so far, no wet papers.

Computer pocket works well for my tiny laptop.

My only complaint is that my prior bag had a tiny pocket, middle-sized pocket, and large pocket. This has a tiny one on top I use for changes, but the other two pockets are both really deep. This is good for a lot of things, but sort of messed up the way I organized things (I would keep things like bills that could wait a few days but not long in the middle pocket where I'd see them fairly often - but now they're deep in this pocket and I forget about them).

Overall, very happy with this bag.

I continue to buy JanSport backpacks. I bought my first one in college and I still use it. I bought this one now that I own a laptop and I love it. I've gotten many compliments on how it looks. The laptop is held securely in place and I have plenty of room left over for anything else I want to throw in there. Ergonomics are excellent and it is padded in all the right areas. I highly recommend this.
