Comfortable, October 18, 2007
This is a comfortable bag. I'm a larger framed guy, and this fits very nicely and comfortable. nice padded back, thick shoulder straps, and a snap across the chest. I have a 17" xt5000t from everex in this bag. Tight but fine for me. There is a LOT of room in this bag as well! I used this bag to carry my laptop and then a motherboard and cpu, both in their boxes... plus the power cord, etc.

Finally! A bag I can call my own!, April 16, 2009
This review is from: JanSport All Terra Lap Station Backpack (Apparel)
I guess a third try is a charm! I tried the CaseLogic SNBP-17 Canvas Style backpack, while my laptop fit, there was a good 1 1/2" of my laptop that wasn't protected, and it wasn't as spacious as I needed. Luckily a friend loved the bag and it fit her laptop, so that was one less b-day present I have to buy! ;o) I then tried the Garvis Metro pack, and while my laptop fit, I didn't like the lack of padding. This bag is a perfect fit for my HP 6830s 17" wide screen laptop! The bag is comfortable to carry for both me (5'2") and my husband (6'2") and has more room than a little bit! A separate well padded compartment keeps the laptop safe, and there are mesh pockets for cords and my trackball within the compartment. The next compartment has plenty of room for books, more computer gear (cooling station and things of that sort), and a change of clothes! Organizational pockets are a huge plus! Plenty of room for a water bottle, pens, pencils, discs, calculator, glasses (in the glass pouch) and my digital camera. The bottom is covered with a tough vinyl/plastic sort of fabric that is so easy to clean, and the rest of the bag appears to be durable and well made! All of that being said, I have found only 2 aspects of this bag I would consider cons: "LapStation" is embroidered on the side of the bag. For me that's fine, but if you are not wanting to proclaim to the world that you carrying expensive merchandise, you might want to remove the stitching or look at a different bag. The other thing is the mesh fabric that is used on the shoulder straps, I can see that becoming frayed and needing to be fixed. All in all a great bag that is definitely worth the money!
