I'm a high school student so my typical backpack load ranges from 30 lbs to 50 lbs. Before this bag I had the Wasabi version, which I was very happy with until it started ripping after three years of using it. When I was deciding on a bag, I thought this would be pretty cool because it looks great and on the Jansport website it says the size is about the same as my old one. When I recieved it though it seemed smaller than my old one and even pictures of it on the site. If you want your bag to carry a ton for you, this might be too small. Bottom line: it's a great bag - but it's not big enough.

This is the second or third Jansport back pack I have owned. Carry every day to school and then to work after graduation. Last one I had lasted over 15 years of daily carrying and it's just starting to wear out. Can't beat it for durability and quality. Love the suede bottom. It makes it tougher. You won't be disappointed with this brand!

I've had this same backpack since 1996!!! The only difference is that mine has a strap that goes around your waist but I've never used it. Its been hiking, camping, through middle and high school and I still use it almost every day. NOTHING IS BROKE!! and trust me.. it's been through a lot. I remember buying it for 50 bucks at the mall when I was in 6th grade.. everyone had a Jansport, so of course, I had to have one too lol Still love this thing. If you need a back pack for school or whatever.. BUY THIS!! It will never die! Kick it old school ;)

Everything is fine, except the leather strings on handles loosen and fall off soon.. kept knotting them back on but finally lost most of them. Maybe if you use another way to keep them hold it would be just fine.

Love this bag. Looks great. Exactly what I need. Our family has bought one like it in the past and it lasted for years!

I've had this backpack for 20 years. I've used it through high school, college, grad school and now children. Needless to say, it has carried a lot of heavy things and only now is the zipper falling apart. I will miss this backpack very much.

Under normal conditions, Jansport backpacks can last more than a decade. This style's suede bottom only adds to the durability. If the pack ever does break down, the Jansport Warranty Center will fix or replace it. After five years of extreme use, my backpack acquired a tear in the bottom, a broken zipper, and a missing label. Within a month of sending it to the Department, my backpack had been beautifully restored to its original quality. I fully recommend this product to any student, outdoorsman, or backpack enthusiast.

I really love this bag, i won't change it for nothing. Here is my review:

Pros:
- Good Quality
- Enough Space
- Resistance to heavy things
- A lot of compartments
- It has a good Shape and persist (i think...) when you have lot of things inside.

Cons:
- The shoulder straps are not comfortable and (maybe) they are a little short.
- The compartment for the laptop computer is not padding/safe enough
- The top handle is very regular. It hurts your hand when you use it for a long time carrying a lot of weight.

My daughter's high school doesn't have lockers, so her back packs get a lot of use and banging around both in school and on the bus. This back pack is holding up really well and holds everything she needs it to.

"Bag is large enough for everything I need without being overdone. No bells, no whistles...just a great backpack. Will order more as needed and highly recommend!
