5.0 out of 5 stars Great alternative to a purse!
I hate purses. Scratch that. I love purses! I hate to carry them. I used to spend a couple of thousand dollars each year on purses that eventually sat in the closet. I am not a super-active person, but I like to walk a lot, do some inline skating, etc. I hate that with a purse, I have to hold it in a hand or, if it is on my shoulder, I have to continually push it...

Not at all what I was expecting, would like my money back. The product descriptiong is way of the mark and quite misleading. This is a TINY, good for nothing backpack- will NOT fit a sweater like everyong claims, if by some slim chance they did get one in there, nothing else went in I garentee! might as well just carry the damn sweater. Product is SEVERAL inches smaller...

I hate purses. Scratch that. I love purses! I hate to carry them. I used to spend a couple of thousand dollars each year on purses that eventually sat in the closet. I am not a super-active person, but I like to walk a lot, do some inline skating, etc. I hate that with a purse, I have to hold it in a hand or, if it is on my shoulder, I have to continually push it back up onto my shoulder. I don't have free use of both hands and arms. And, if there is too much in it, I get neck and shoulder pain quite easily.

Okay, enough whining. On to the product. This is the perfect alternative to a purse for me. It is small, but has enough room for my KindleKindle: Amazon's New Wireless Reading Device in it's case, my wallet, a small water bottle, some lotion, lip gloss, gate opener, keys, kleenex, phone, and a couple of pens. The straps are long enough to wear with a fleece jacket on and I am 5'10". There is no padding on the straps, which I like, because it looks less like I'm about to head out to the outback when I am going to dinner. It is also easy to sling both straps over one shoulder if I am just running in somewhere and back out. The seperate pouch isn't neary so prounounced as it looks in the picture (it blends much more nicely) and is great for carrying keys and lip gloss and small items that I may need quickly. It can also be thrown in a washing machine to clean. I plan to buy more in some different colors for summer.

5.0 out of 5 stars JanSport Half Pint Backpack, August 30, 2008
These are the cutest daypacks. They are great for pre-school kids, women, and anyone with too much stuff for their pockets.

Perfect size for my 4 yr. old daughter who will attend pre-k in Sep.It holds a "Mead" composition book, crayons, extra outfit, etc. and ofcourse the price is unbelievable (for $5.97 ea.)!I gave it 4 stars because the straps are thin as opposed to padded so don't overpack!Superfast shipping;overall, great deal!

I have been searching for a backpack style purse so I can chase my toddler with two free hands. I'm not the type who can just throw any old backpack on, however. There has to be some kind of style, since I am using it everyday. This is a very cute pattern and a decent size for my stuff and one or two items for my son. I would have liked a few more outside pockets and thicker straps, but overall, my hands are free to be a mom and that was my goal.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great for day trips, January 10, 2011

I hate that there's no lining/padding on the bottom of the backpack, but that's my ONLY complaint. It's sturdy, it's light-weight, it holds a ton of stuff despite it's size, it's comfortable, and it's super convenient for day trips and any time I don't want to be lugging around a handbag.

It's also a great size for toddlers to carry around small toys/crayons. But it's not big enough for school.

4.0 out of 5 stars Cute!, February 5, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I got this bag to carry a few things with me when I go hiking. I thought it would be more organized, but the inside is just a big hole. There is a small pocket on the outside (good for cellular), but that's it. Other than that the bag looks cute, carries what I need, and the price was the cheapest I'd seen even out of E-bay mini packs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love this Bag, December 31, 2011

I have serious back problems and too much weight takes it's toll right away. I found this small backpack at a tourist gift shop in San Francisco, and I have not put it down yet. For my needs it is light and carries everything I need without weighing so much that it causes me additional discomfort. I love the size, I have many, outragiously expensive bags but usually the bag alone is heavy without me adding all of my "stuff" For my everyday use this has been the perfect answer and I love it.

My fifth grader granddaughter ordered this but ended up giving it to her little sister who is four. It is so very small that it is just right for the little one. It won't hold her books at preschool but will do for a sweater (hers are small) and a toy or two for going out to a restaurant.

This is a very pretty, very well made backpack. Just keep in mind that it is not very large. If you want a very small backpack, then this would do very well for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Adorable, but TINY!, September 3, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I ordered this backpack for my preschooler, who was delighted to receive it. It does fit her perfectly, the design is very fun. The straps are actually purple rather than the royal blue which shows on the photo, and the purple does look much better. It's durable and comes with Jansport's standard lifetime guarantee, which is fantastic.

Be advised that this is a really tiny backpack. A conventional cardboard folder will not fit in it at all, so I wouldn't advise this for any kids going off to kindergarten or above.

Still, it's the perfect size for a 3 year old and her first year of preschool, and she can use it to tote her clothes for overnights at Grandma's, as well. She'll outgrow it before she wears it out, and this particular color will hide the dirt very well!

Plus, it's so tiny that it's automatically ridiculously adorable, and every time our 3 year old walks around with it on, my husband and I cannot help dissolving into giggles. Seriously.
