The construction is solid, strap pads very comfortable. Used in a hot environment, my back stayed sweat free, unlike others I was with. Design and zipper, pocket location is well thought out. Was pleasently suprised how many things I could fit in it, being that it is not a large backpack. Looking forward to years of use, would not go anywhere without it!

I bought this bag to substitute for a diaper bag for trips to the zoo with the family. This bag is perfect for day trips for the family, plenty of room for me to pack 3 to 4 water bottles inside along with a few Capri-Suns for my daughter and used gel packs to keep things cold. Also packed a few snacks and the necessities for a 3 year old. Works great for what I need it for. Wouldn't suggest to try to use this for more than a day trip.

The straps are pretty comfortable as advertised and they are easy to adjust to fit just about any adult I would say. I carried this bag for 5 to 6 hours walking around at the zoo and it didn't really bother me too much at all. I didn't use the belt strap, it did not seems necessary for me but I guess it is there if you feel that would not bother you.

Overall I really like my purchase so far and have used my bags twice for all day trips with my family and I really like it.

This is a great backpack! I got it very cheap, and it works fantastically! I can fit all my books, my laptop, my kitting bag (or a hoodie) and still have room for my pencil bag, my charger, and more! I love the pocket at the top, it's great for holding a pack of gum and ear buds. It is very sturdy, and I think it will last a long time! I love having this back pack for college because when I have to walk from building to building during the rain, my stuff doesn't get wet! I don't know what fabric this is, but it doesn't soak in water! This is probably my most favorite feature of the backpack. Oh and I love that it has two water bottle holders!

This is an adequate backpack. I had previously used another Jansport backpack for everyday use (laptop, misc. paperwork, etc) for several (10+) years that I absolutely loved, but I finally had to replace. I don't like this one as much. The old one had MUCH thicker, sturdier zippers. The zippers on this are flimsy and tend to stick. The stitching on the older was also much better. The shoulder straps are also not as comfortable or well-made.

I used the other one for day-hiking and camping excursions. There is no way I would use this one for that purpose. This one does have space for more stuff.

Honestly, it's an OK backpack at a reasonable price if you use it for light, "urban" duty.

I bought this bag 3 years ago when I was heading off to college. I wanted a backpack that would allow me to carry my 15" laptop, and all my notebooks around with me to class. My laptop fits perfectly in the sleeve, although it doesn't provide any padding in between the laptop and anything inside the large compartment. The pocket is just a polyester material, but not having padding has never been an issue for me. This has served me very well so far, and it is continuing to be in great shape. I am 5'2", so I have the straps as short as they go, and the bag fits me pretty well. As an engineering major, I carry around a lot of books, notes, etc. and this backpack has been able to carry it all. When it rains around here, I use an umbrella, but for the droplets of water that get on the outside I am usually able to brush them off without getting anything inside wet. The pocket on the top is super handy because its small and easily accessible. I chose the black color because backpacks get dirty very easily, and it still looks good. I have also used this backpack for trips and it fits a surprising of stuff. Overall I highly recommend this backpack to anyone, for any application.

I have been looking for a solid backpack that is comfortable, compact and can take several college books, notebooks, and folders. I love that it has a laptop sleeve, water bottle holders, super comfy shoulder straps, and of course, some nifty pockets. I would highly suggest this to any college student that carries several books at once. Well worth the price! :)

I picked this backpack because my old Jansport was decaying pretty bad. I had my old bag for a long time and wanted to stick with the same brand. The Agave has comfortable straps and nice pouches for school supplies. The bag is plenty big for my college materials and gym clothes. I like the clip-strap in the front to hold the straps secure to the shoulders: it prevents the bag from bouncing around on runs and bike rides. The only reason I took off a star was because the strap at the bottom -- which I think is supposed to do the same thing -- is long, dangles, and I never use it.

Let's be clear here that this backpack is worth the price. I get to fit my laptop in it, and use it as a urban daypack. Then when I go outdoors it turns into my hiking daypack. GREAT PURCHASE
