5.0 out of 5 stars Works fine
I had a hard time finding the Canon version of this hood in stock. I also couldn't justify the price of the Canon brand hood. This hood works great, couldn't be happier.

2.0 out of 5 stars Worth the prise (I guess)
1. It is made from very thin plastic - can break easily due to bag pressure
2. Fits better and clicks when I put it in reverse position than in the front of the lens to block the stray light
3. Takes some time to put it properly in front of the lens
4. No vignetting caused by the hood
So I guess it is worth the cost. But if you are a pro or someone...

This review is from: Janco Lens Hood for Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 USM, 100mm f/2.0 USM, 135mm f/2.8 SF,100-300mm f/4.5-5.6 USM, EF 70-210mm f/3.5-4.5 USM, EF 75-300mm f/4.5-5.6 Lenses (ET-65 III) (Electronics)

So I guess it is worth the cost. But if you are a pro or someone that packs the bags tight or use the hood frequently, get the Canon one.

3.0 out of 5 stars Does not fit EF 75-300, January 2, 2010

This review is from: Janco Lens Hood for Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 USM, 100mm f/2.0 USM, 135mm f/2.8 SF,100-300mm f/4.5-5.6 USM, EF 70-210mm f/3.5-4.5 USM, EF 75-300mm f/4.5-5.6 Lenses (ET-65 III) (Electronics)
The hood looks to be good quality plastic but it does not fit the Cannon EF 75-300 as described in the title. It is way too loose to fit on my lens.

For $9.99 you just can't go wrong with this lens hood replacement. At first I was a bit skeptical not purchasing an original part for my Canon, but because of it's affordable price I decided I'd give it a try. I'm glad I did; since it works, feels and looks just as good as the Canon brand, but with a big plus; it's price! So, if you're like me and having second thoughts, I'd suggest you go for it, I think it's well worth it for the price you pay. DBRoth delivered this item really fast too!
