I live in western Oregon, and commute 8-miles 1-way 5 days a week. I thought that this helmet cover would be a great idea, but I was very wrong. Don't get me wrong, it keeps the rain out and is highly visible, and if you have a short ride (perhaps only 2 or 3 miles), you will like it.

For me, it turned out not so great. Why, you ask?

In a nutshell: sweat. On my often rainy, high humidity commute, my head pours out a copious amounts of sweat, but the helmet prevents airflow (not the same as breathable), so I end up dripping sweat just as much (if not more) than if I let the rain wash on through. To make things worse, where the rain would be rinsing all that sweat away, I was now stuck with a bunch of helmet pads soaked with sweat, which got quite stinky (even with weekly washings). So, helmet cover had to go.

I still want to like it, but it has no place in my current commute -- and if you sweat on your commute, it probably won't work for you, either.

I received the Jandd waterproof helmet cover in a timely fashion. I am pleased it has a place to clip a light on the back of the cover.

In Anchorage, Alaska, there have been some cold mornings this summer, and it is a good product to use to keep my head a little warmer. I keep it on my helmet at all times. It is a little tough to get over a helmet with a visor. I have better directional views than with the hood on my rain jacket. I like to keep an eye on cars and moose. I would recommend this item. It was also recommended to me.

If you haven't ever gotten a helmet cover, and ride in the rain, especially the cold rain, you really don't know what you're missing. It's totally breathable but keeps out the wind and wet. I really love this.

Wanted a cover for my Giro helmet that would protect my head from the sun and the rain. This cover is nice and bright yellow which allows motorists to notice me more readily and fits the bill perfectly. Slid right over my helmet and fits nice and tight. Tested this on a long three day touring trip across coastal highway 1 in California. Very happy for the $16 I paid for this cover.

Keeps your helmet and head dry. It does NOT however, keep rain from entering your eyes and face. The thing that works best for me is an old baseball cap or visor (preferably a cap or visor with a long bill).

Great Jandd quality but it will not properly fit a Bell Citi helmet. Other than that worth the money if you need a cover.

I have a big head so I purchased a Bell XLV for my helmet and I wasn't sure if this helmet cover would fit but I took the chance and it fits very nicely once you pop the visor off. It fits snugly but I popped it on without any trouble. I haven't tried it in the rain yet but this is not my first helmet cover, I have no concerns in that respect.

Rode with this cover in many rain events and it is flawless. Reflectors on the front and rear of the helmet with slots to hang lights. I ride with a visor which I just pop off the helmet stretch the cover and go. Well made. Another reviewer suggest using a long billed cap for a visor. Thanks for the great idea.

Great helmet cover, but I might try a hooded jacket next year. Of course, it doesn't do anything for the neck area.
I use it everyday in the rainy season since it also provides some extra visibility.

This helmet cover fits very snugly over my helmet and doesn't move around and all. So far I have use it to keep warm on a cold day. It folds up small and I recommend it to all.
