great bag overall, no complaints
I have used this bag for about 2 years regularly and absolutely love it. Best value out there when comparing volume, weight, accessability, durability, and price. I do not use the stabilizing strap and I cut off the dangling hooks. I usually have it packed completely full and have had no problem with its stability as long as the under-saddle straps are taut. It is a...

Some Huge Flaws
I'm a fan of Jandd equipment but a little shocked with this effort. The bag itself is perfect, and you can reach the side pocket's while riding. Huge capacity, you can ditch the idea of a rack and big top mounted bag. But, now the bad news: the bungie stabizing system is smart, old school, but Jandd choose plastic housings and metal hooks. (Note to Jandd: any hook +...

great bag overall, no complaints, August 17, 2010
This review is from: Jandd Mountain Wedge 3 Bag, Black (Misc.)
It is a better, lighter-weight alternative to a full rack system if its 7.5 liters of volume is enough space. Love this bag!

Some Huge Flaws, February 16, 2010
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Jandd Mountain Wedge 3 Bag, Black (Misc.)
(Note to Jandd: any hook + bike is a bad idea, positive closure is essential.) First ride, one of the plastic deals broke aftet the hook disengaged from eyelet on an road bump and it did a wrap-around on my hub. Otherside bounced out a few minutes later. Hooks just don't work. And, the choice of strap material on both the stablizers and the top mounting system are pretty suspect - good for a ride in the park... but a 100 mile ride or exploring back in the deep woods...I really doubt it. So, I easily busted off the second hook mount, made knots and used a slip knot attachment for the bungies on the chainstay, which is probably a superior way to go, period. The straps? Well, I think you'll have to carry a replacement strap and be prepared to do some improv repairs if you really taking this on any serious journey. They are paper thin. Jandd is not thinking clearly, perhaps too much sun down there in SB.
