I loved this book!
This book was given to me as a gift & has become one of my most treasured possessions. It's hilarious! A great gift for an English teacher or any Jane Austen fan.

Don't Expect Much and You Will Not Be Disappointed
This is just a little book of quotes taken out of context. Austen's "advice" is really the random opinions of her characters (and we know how silly some of them are!). Sarcasm and irony were lost in the compilation process. It made me wonder if those writing the book understood Austen's work at all. But, it was fun testing myself to see if I could guess...

This is just a little book of quotes taken out of context. Austen's "advice" is really the random opinions of her characters (and we know how silly some of them are!). Sarcasm and irony were lost in the compilation process. It made me wonder if those writing the book understood Austen's work at all. But, it was fun testing myself to see if I could guess which character had made each statement. I will not be sending this book out as Christmas gifts for my friends.

Not only is this everything you expect from Jane Austen, the authors have added their own witty commentary and this is much more than a pretty little gift book - it's actually very funny! This is a great little Jane Austen Book

I bought this years ago and unfortunatly mislaid it. I bought it initally for the illustrations but the book makes a pretty little gift for anyone interested in jane austen or this time period.

What better advice book to carry about with you than Jane Austen's Little Advice Book? Since I love anything to do with Jane Austen, I was pleasantly surprised with the humor, grace, and wit that this little book has in it. I now take it with me wherever I go. Beautifully illustrated with biographical facts about the author humorously told, I would definitely recommend this book for any Jane Austen fan! Buy it!
