My wife is a real Jane Austen fan (I'm becoming one also). She writes Jane Austen fan fiction so she seems to know everything about all of Austens books. I bought this game for her birthday and basically to see if we could 'stump the expert'.

We have had fun going through the questions and I can't believe how much my wife knows about this story and the author. But she is stumped every now and then. So, it is fun to keep going through the questions.

Even if you don't play it as a game with friends it will be great fun to help you think back on the story. But if you are going to have a Jane Austen Fan Club evening this game would add loads of fun to the time.

I highly recommend the game to all Jane Austen fans.

Enjoy!

This is a great game for every fan of Elizabeth Bennet and Fitzwilliam Darcy, (not to mention Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle!)Despite having little acquaintance with Pride and Prejudice when first playing the game, I managed to win through lucky guesses and role of the dice. But it does have very broadly ranging questions from fairly easy to many more obscure, making it a fun challenge. After playing it I was inspired to re-read the book and then soon found the wonderful A&E Movie version. It's a super game for a shower, or "girls night out," and also a great family game. It comes in a beautifully designed and sturdy box, and the price makes it a great gift for every Jane Austen fan.

this was a great gift for someone who loves the novel and Jane Austen -- there are bonus questions about Austen's life included in the box for extra fun. Moreover, the questions can be simple or hard depending on how strict the gamers are when it comes to exact wording of the answers.

While this is a high quality card game, it is very much for those obsessed with Austen's Pride and Prejudice or very good memories for facts. The questions are all related to the book, and are interesting.

I bought this game as a gift for my daughters - both devoted Austen fans. My older daughter has read Pride and Prejudice four times so it did not take her long to discover the spelling errors and blatant inaccuracies on the question cards. One question even had a multiple choice option of Lucy Steele (from Austen's Sense and Sensibility). What a disappointment. On top of that about 20 % of the cards are simply labelled: free points. We're guessing that whoever put the questions together got tired of watching the movie and shoved these in. At least that gave us a good laugh and Amazon refunded our money immediately (full marks to them). Don't buy this gift if you are an Austen fan. Or if you know how to spell Pemberley.

This questions in this game were either way too hard or ridiculously easy. We also pulled an inordinate number of boring 'freebie' cards where nothing was required (one person only had to answer one question the whole game because they pulled a free card every turn). My mom and sisters and I love Pride & Prejudice and have watched it together at least a dozen times. Most of us have also read the book, but all of us were disappointed in this game. At least we got an evening of laughs out of how sad it was.

I am giving this four stars because it is a great game for people who are somewhat familiar with P&P. I took one star off because I am one of those who knows the book and film adaptations so well that it was too easy for me. I would love to see (or help create) an advanced version!
