Editorial Reviews

Review

The illustrations in this baby book are incredible!...If you're a literature buff like me, you'll love introducing your child to Mr. Rochester and Jane at an early age. Jennifer Adams has more books in this series, and I would recommend them all. (vivian4kids 20120326)

If you like the classics and you have a young child that you want to introduce them to, these are the perfect books for the job! (Julie Graves myfavoritepastime.blogspot.com 20120313)

BabyLit books make classic literature fun for a younger audience. Did I mention I love this idea? Simply brilliant! (The Mama Report 20120402)

The artwork in this book is stunning...The details in every page are well executed and you can tell a lot of thought went into every page. I love these books for kids and can't wait to share them with my kids one day. (Laura Moore The Reading Nook 20120402)

I am so pleased to have been introduced to this series of books! (Confessions of a Psychotic Housewife 20120331)

The Baby Lit Books are classical looking and will have any shelf they are on stand out from their beauty. They are simply gorgeous. But mostly, the Baby Kit Books will help young children learn how to count and understand colors, while awakening a subconscious curiosity for the classics. (Kid Lit Reviews 20120402)

Author Jennifer Adams' text is paired beautifully with art by Alison Oliver. With colors that capture the time period, and delicate lines around printed forms, Jane Eyre is a visual delight in board book format. (Lorie Ann Grover readertotz 20120319)

3.0 out of 5 stars One... March 22, 2012
By Bextera
Format:Board book
A little disappointed it wasn't "One Mad Wife..."

Great idea in theory, but a little repetitive if you want to have a collection of these books (which I thought I would). Perhaps an alphabet or word primer for some of them would be a better idea?

5.0 out of 5 stars Simply Stunning March 11, 2012
Format:Board book|Amazon Verified Purchase
Gorgeous board book! This book has a beautiful matte finish and is very high quality. I would love to have the whole set. It doesn't really have a story line, but it has great pictures and includes moments from the book.

4.0 out of 5 stars good CHILDRENS book March 26, 2012
Format:Board book
I really don't have a problem with these books. They are super simple children's books (hence the 1+ age reference) that introduce ideas like counting or color recognition while drawing loosely on classic book themes like Jane Eyre or Romeo and Juliet. My daughter is almost three and loves this series because of the bright pictures and simple words. While we read I usually add in a little more about the original book like who a certain charter is etc..I don't really feel these book are some evil marketing ploy to get adult book nerds to buy them and try to turn they children into mini book nerds. Really how could a two or three year old begin to grasp Jane Eyre or Romeo and Juliet? These are perfect little primers for parents who can't stand to read the same old 1,2,3 books anymore.
