It has great coverage without looking cakey.

I am fair skinned (perhaps a shade darker than a red head)and bought the bisque color, which seems to work well for me.
Sally
It goes on so nicely and looks very natural.

I really have loved this product. I used bare minerals before this, and found that it irritated my skin, and dried it out. The Jane Iredale pressed powder feels like I have absolutely no make up on, and it looks really natural. I am also very surprised at how well it conceals bigger blemishes. Although it's definitely not a concealer. I also love that it is not clogging my pores but actually helping and protecting my skin. It is expensive but I think it's worth it, and it lasts a long time. I think mine has lasted almost a year.

I have tried Bare Minerals and other "mineral" make-up and Jane Iredale PurePressed Mineral Foundation is by far the best in several ways. 1. Best coverage. I even use my finger to pat a little extra on blemishes and under my eyes. It doesn't ever look chalky or dry my blemishes out and flake. (But make sure you are using a good eye cream so your eye area is hydrated or NOTHING will look good on your dark circles). 2. The colour range is fabulous. I use Warm Sienna in the winter and Riviera in the summer. The colours really flatter skin tones. 3.You don't need to use a heavy SPF lotion - this powder IS your sunscreen! Pure Minerals block UV. You might need more than this provides if you're really sun sensitive, but this is a great, natural way to get the basics. 4. Yes, it's expensive. A couple of years ago, I would never have spent this on a pressed powder. But you get what you pay for. It lasts FOREVER. After four months of using one compact, I've barely scratched the surface. A little goes a very, very long way with this stuff. And you can choose how heavy you want your coverage to be - minimal for everyday but if you layer it on you get a flawless foundation-like finish for special events. And now I don't have to buy sunscreen, concealer, and powder. I just use this one product. 5. The ingredients are actually good for you. No "filler" talc and no preservatives or chemicals.

Anyway, yes I'm raving about PurePressed Minerals but with so many disappointing products out there it's nice to finally find something that lives up to its promises :)

I really recommend this powder to others. I have acne prone skin (even at thirty) and have trouble finding a foundation that matches my skin tone (very fair) and that doesn't cause breakouts, all the while lasting the day. An aesthetician recommended this to my in college and I stopped using it after my skin cleared as it was a little expensive. However since then I have tried at least five different over the counter mineral powders and none have come close. Although expensive, this powder lasts four to five months and covers great. It can crease/build up over the day if you put too much on and as it is mineral and not absorbed by the skin it can rub off on phone screens and other items that may come in contact with your face.

This stuff is.....superior. I have really bad skin. Acne, oily, sensitive... this makeup paired with some seriously intense skincare from the doctors has made a huge difference. I refuse to put anything else on my face. Its lightweight, it covers acne very well, it doesn't lay on my face heavy or get nasty when my face gets oily throughout the day and its mineral. The sun protection is really good too. If you have very dry skin this stuff will make flaky skin more noticeable and dry so be careful with that. All around completely worth my money. I won't use anything else. Bisque matches my skintone flawlessly too. It was recommended by my skincare specialist

Been using this product for 3 years. Last me about year and I use almost everyday.
Coverage is good for very uneven skin yet lightweight.

pros:
-great coverage
-no breakouts
-not oily
-no rashes
-paraben free, BHT free, talc free
-cruelty free

cons:
-may be drying for dry skin
-does contain Dimethicone, which should be avoided

Always had sensitive skin and can not use makeup sold at the department stores with out breaking out.
This does not cause breakouts or rashes.

I used to use Glo minerals but they were out of stock so I tried this and I like it better!
Does not make my skin dry like glo minerals did.
You may want to use a light moisturizer under this makeup if you have very dry skin.

Color Name: Autumn Verified Purchase
The make up is the same size and condition as what I purchase from the local dermatologist's spa! I am so please with the deal and press powder.

**Update** 11/29/14 - The 1st time that I put the press powder that I purchased on my face I looked ready for a burial. I've purchased 4 other refills from the spa and once from another Amazon seller, but never had a problem. Though the color looked the same, it was not once applied. The make up was not Autumn, it was much lighter. Within the hour my face became irritated and burned slightly. Jane Iredale is made in the USA, the label on the bottom of the refill that I received differs from my previous refill. Unless Jane Iredale lightened their hues, changed the formula and their labels, I doubt the authenticity of what I received. I've wasted $27.00.

I have used the Jane Iredale PurePressed powder for years. Love it and won't use anything different. It doesn't cause my skin to break out. I was excited to find out that I can purchase through Amazon since it is significantly less expensive that paying retail at a Salon. You are able to change the level of coverage you want by how you apply the powder. I don't wear foundation with this powder.
